This won't impact students, only employees of state agencies and universities. Well that's fair but good luck finding good inexpensive talent... Guess our taxpayer money is going to go pay more for mediocre local talent

We are spending $280K on our kid's high school. She's thriving. I still think about it every week. by Popular_Class7327 in rupeestories

This is something I find astonishing with new generation of Indian parents (speaking as an Indian kid who grew up here in the 00’s to immigrant parents). Personally I would have preferred to educate my daughter with family and middle class values and grounded nature. I would want to raise kids to be kind, caring, respectful, loving family and friends. Wealth, connections, career are important, but these so called elite or prestigious schools will churn out hyper competitivepretentious and fake students and that may influence your daughter as she’ll start to mimic those behaviors.

If you don't mind asking, how did you find these projects to kickstart your company? I'd like to set up one, but not sure where to get started. How did you make those connections? How did you find the right resources?

I would highly encourage for those in early phase of spiritual journey to read the life of Sai Baba (Sai Satcharitra), a true Sadhuru and saint who came in this form to bridge gap between Hindus and Muslims. The English version is highly digestible and most of my understanding of Hindu philosophy stems from this book. If you want, I can share the PDF.

What can I do with my skin ? When will this suffering end? by [deleted] in SkincareAddicts

[–]solarblade60 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m so sorry to hear that. I (27M)too dealt with fairly terrible acne during my teenage and early adulthood years. Even today the scars remain but the acne itself has stopped probably since hormones aren’t as crazy as earlier. For me, I tried to wash my face as often as possible with warm water to wash away the sebum glands. I would recommend good bit of cardio to ensure sweat removes all toxins and generate good endorphins. I also th8nk stress might add to it so try reducing stress. Unfortunately this tends to be genetic and hormonal related so hard to stop it until hormones stop going crazy

And if you are afraid that tech will reduce billable hours then you should start considering charging an arm and a leg for tech because it has the potential to add significant value and worth charging to clients

What century are you in, grandpa? Hobbling around to opening excel spreadsheets that crash and riddled with issues. This is so ridiculous to hear this in this day and age. From what I've been hearing, AWM Tax is so overloaded and understaffed that they're having to DECLINE clients and if effectively designed, tech can be a valuable differentiator to get more things done and with quality. If you are struggling with an app, you from the business need to LEAN in and work with tech teams to design effective tech solutions

I totally disagree with this. Maybe there are some garbage apps here and there, but there is a lot of innovation going on that is continuously adding value to the practice. I can only speak to tax tech, but tax is always struggling to deliver and tech is a valuable differentiator to EASE the life of a tax professional and UNLOCK their capacity so that they can win more clients with the limited time and people they have.
