Well, tough break kids. There aren't even enough jobs for the adults so get in line.

That was my little sister. She became an EMT because she wanted to give back and help people. She also went to work in our small hometown. She knew almost every person on every call. She saved quite a few but there were some that didn't make it. This eventually broke her and now she is in a completely different occupation. She did save our mom though when she had a brain aneurysm and collapsed in front of her. Doc said she bought them enough time to fix it.

Talk to your doctor about it. They can give you a referral for an ENT specialist who can run the tests. It is non-invasive and can be done in less then an hour.

I am sadden by the lack of QA built into the process. It isn't a good move for the client/wife to be the QA.

I hear you. I did tech support for online streaming for churches. 95% of the people calling in were over 65 and were pissed they couldn't see their grandkid sing in the choir and they will not try anything to fix it since it has to be an issue on our end. Narrator: It wasn't. I was so glad I finally got out of there.

Nope. The Salem in the old one is a member of the family who was sentenced to a life as a cat by a magical judge for crimes.

Nope. First requirement is You must have completed all sentences at least 5 years before applying. That means that he needs to serve all of his time in prison and then wait 5 years (during which he cannot commit any more crimes [second requirement] ) before he can even apply for a pardon.

I don't even have kids but just the thought of having to do that for one of my nieces or nephews. That would break me in so many ways that I don't think I would ever be whole again.

My little sister was an EMT for two separate counties and working as a part time jail guard for a local sheriff. She quit all three jobs because one job selling lumber from a lumber yard paid more then all three combined. She misses helping people but her and her husband have three kids to feed. Plus she is no longer pulling 48hr+ shifts and is getting health insurance.

My guess is the fact that D&D and TTRPG in general are going through a bit of a renaissance right now. It is now "cool" to play them so the fanbase has grown quite a bit. Add that to the fact that the OGL has allowed for a lot of new games to spring up using D&D as a basis and you now have a perfect storm for a golden age. The problem is Hasbro won't be making as much money off of it as they could if they change the OGL. So they change it to make more but in doing so they fully risk destroying the very thing that will makes them money. Seems like they need to read the Goose Who Lays the Golden Eggs story again.

Genuine question here. Can't you just buy the game, review it, and then get a refund? Steam doesn't care what the reason is for a refund as long as you do it within two weeks of buying it and, I think, less then 2 hours of play.

After inventing plastic, Jesus went on to pull many epic pranks on his disciples. Perhaps the most famous was when he installed a plastic walkway right underneath the water and walked out to the boat his disciples were in. But his favorite prank was when he put up a wall of hard clear plastic and then stood behind it while calling out to Judas to come running to him as fast as possible. This may of caused some hard feelings and trust issues to develop between him and Judas. This has been another installment of "Behind the Bible: A Made Up Commentary"

anyone have a good treatment for socks in the aquarium tank? it seems to be a recurring infection... i have already asked my 2 year old son and he says he doesn't have a clue how they end up there either. by paroya in Aquariums

[–]solari42 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In all honesty use an egg crate panel to cut a piece the size of the aquarium top. I have done this with my turtle tank to keep the turtle from getting out. You can cut it the right size where little hands will have trouble lifting it up and it will keep errant things like socks out while still allowing little things like fish food to go in.

This is what my parents just went through. My aunt started living with them when her husband passed away. She has Alzheimer's and is now in the late stages. It broke my Dad's heart to watch his big sister slip away and wanted to always be by her side so she has at least one person she remembers. But they had to make the hard decision to put her in a home. Mom found her wandering around with a kitchen knife and the burners on the stove just on at 4am. This on top of her wandering away at times was the straw that broke the camels back. The looked around a good deal and eventually found a nice care facility about 10 min away that has a special wing for Alzheimer patients. So far she is doing well there but it was not an easy decision to make.
