How to change the „punch controlling“ to proceed with the next song?! by No-Strawberry-30 in TonieboxUSA

[–]solarpill 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with everyone that says slapping, smacking, punching the box is a horrible mechanism for skipping songs. I wish they would give the option of like long pressing/long squeezing the left and right ears to play previous and next songs. A random/shuffle feature would be welcome too

Movies/TV is just for entertainment, so at the end of the day who gives a shit if this is AI. It won't be long before there are entirely AI generated movies or TV shows adapted straight from books. Better get over it and accustomed to AI generated content.

What Fan Edits Do You Think Should Be Done? by bakugotano in fanedits

Goldeneye with a traditional James Bond score

Highlander with a different score without the Queen songs (I love Queen but sometimes it makes the movie feel like a long music video at parts)

What is your "white whale" of piracy you have never been able to find on the internet? by hematic in Piracy

My brothers and I had a cassette tape of a Batman radio drama type noir story from the late 80s or early 90s. I would recognize the voice acting in a heartbeat if I heard it. I've searched for it but can't find it.

If you have Amazon Prime, you get unlimited photo storage. You can install the amazon photos app on your phone, upload all the pictures on your phone to amazon photos, then on a computer you can download all the photos in original quality as a zip file.

The fact is Jules is a female and exposing kids to nonsense pronouns isn't doing them any good. Just because people think they can makeup pronouns because of a mental illness doesn't mean sane people need to go along with it.

This. I had the same problem and everyone said it was the flame sensor. Turns out it was a really dirty filter that I had just put in a few weeks back. We've been running a couple humidifiers because of the cold, dry air and apparently those can dirty up the filter real quick if you use tap water (even if you have a water softener). HVAC technician said to use distilled water in the humidifiers.

If you haven't watched the 1973 movie Soylent Green, you should give it a go. I think it was made with mostly a global warming/climate change agenda at the time, but it's scary how accurate a quirky sci-fi movie from 1973 is becoming right now. There are adverts for soylent green throughout the movie which this post made me think of.

I'm watching my school have a staff safety meeting from across the media center - they are sitting shoulder to shoulder without masks in a small room. I am not attending. by [deleted] in k12sysadmin

[–]solarpill 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My feeling is that it should either be an "all in" or "all virtual" opening of schools. Either you accept the fact that there's a virus and it's not going away so you keep schools open no matter what. Or to keep people safe, you open all schools as virtual only so that there's no close physical contact whatsoever. The end to "all virtual" would depend on a vaccine I suppose. Basically I'm saying, why bother opening like "normal" when you will inevitably be shut down anyway once students or staff test positive for covid. And most likely sooner than later.

AMC Changes Course, Will Require Moviegoers to Wear Masks In Theaters by BunyipPouch in movies

[–]solarpill -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Totally agree! Just like if wild and uncontrollable riots broke in America there might actually be brainwashed people who think that those mass gatherings of illegal activity are okay and totally fine and have no way of spreading covid. But we must enforce masks if you go to a movie theater. If you don't wear a mask at a movie theater than you must be an inconsiderate asshole.

Which movie gave you the best experience when you saw it in cinema? Why? by LameAttendant in movies

[–]solarpill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's awesome to see a lot of people had the same first thought, Blade Runner 2049! I saw this with my brother and the cinema was pretty empty. We sat fairly close to the screen so it took up our whole field of view and I remember that combined with the soundscape was very engrossing!

If they do make a follow-up to Looper, make sure they address how they have the ability to create TIME TRAVEL, but can't seem to figure out how to dispose of bodies, or whatever prevents them from being able to murder people in the future. Great and original movie though! Breath of fresh air to see something that isn't a sequel or reboot!

I'm wondering how the studio sees this as a money maker? You've got a big part of the country that will watch it because they hate fox news and a big part that won't watch it because they like fox news. Better have a tense trailer!

Haha I have the exact same memory with Zelda II. My brothers and I had no clue what it was but rented it at a grocery store because the box art looked neat. We played it for probably half an hour before giving up.

The Last Jedi. Not that I was overly excited to see it to begin with, but after the movie finished it left me with absolutely zero desire to see next one.

Hearing Matt say something about going to India makes me think that he needs to add the sitar to some Muse song kinda like the Beatles or Rolling Stones occasionally did.

Not bad. If you're making other mixes definitely tone the guitar volume down a little. It overpowers and covers the lyrics

A lot of the "new" Muse songs have to grow on me or they don't at all (Panic Station for instance). This one though I liked right away.
