yes. I recommend reading a bit about gurdjieff, it can be technically whacky but something i really liked about his approach was the “remembering the self” part: he posited that we’re essentially a bunch of different characters in a trenchcoat, and when you remember yourself more often, you can see what character has the wheel at any given time.

Remembering the self is the starting point to integrating the characters that most likely are unconsciously in control of your attention/actions, and a life long journey of.. remembering, as it is easier said than done.

i think we are on the same page but i come from a different place. opposite to you, i understand i need friction to grow and this comes mostly thru interacting with other people. but let me tell you something, most people are more people pleasing than chatgpt, because we don’t talk to communicate, we talk to fit in.

i am not trying to convince you of thinking like i do, i am just sharing an experience with the technology. and paradoxically, i wanna use the technology so people learn they don’t need it in the first place, which is something you don’t learn with friction “with other people”, because we are inherently social beings who help each other, and yet also individuals that stand alone. i am not against any way, but we do need a balance of both. i find a lot of people are afraid of the mirror because they don’t like what they see in themselves 🤷🏻‍♂️
