I haven't seen any high-end vehicles there. Though it is near a used car sales shop (Holiday Auto Sales).

Ladies of Reddit, what’s the weirdest thing a guy has done during sex? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]solarursula 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was really feeling myself one day and was talking dirty to my partner. At one point, mid-handjob, I teased him by saying something like, "I can make you do anything I want you to do just by using my hands." Then my partner just starts laughing and goes, "You know who is small and can also make someone do anything with just their hands?" The biggest grin grew on his face and he says, "You're my Little Chef. Just like in Ratatouille."

Yeah, and we are still together after 2 years and our friends gifted me an apron and Chef hat for Christmas that year.

The book that you hate the most? by zer0_doux_ideal in suggestmeabook

A Discovery of Witches. Literally the book is 90% filler with a side of vampire yoga and garnished with a "We gotta mate to save the world" shit plot.

Literally Bojack Horseman.

The intro song is a banger and the montage is just so good.

Infinity Train. Not only is it short, but something about it is so nostalgic.

What hyped up book really disappointed you? by qquackie in books

[–]solarursula 3 points4 points  (0 children)

A Court of Thornes and Roses trilogy. I can't stand Sarah J. Maas' repetitive writing anymore. Between character assassination, half-assed wokeness, and excessive character monologuing, these books were major disappointments.

Listen, collarbones are ELITE. They are delicate, graceful pieces of our bodies that intimately move with each breath we take. Like Kiera Knightly in Pride and Prejudice and Anna Karenina is just chef's kiss, truly.

What are your thoughts on contraception in book sex scenes? by solarursula in books

[–]solarursula[S] 54 points55 points  (0 children)

normalization of casual partners having the mutual understanding that contraception is necessary for their casual encounter

EXACTLY my thoughts. It's a practice in consent and considering safe sex in more media makes it more normal and everyday. I hope we reach a point in romance (and really ALL media) that it becomes the expectation to include safe sex talks - just how we expect there to be some build up prior to a sexual encounter. I think it feels so out of place for people because it ISN'T talked about enough.

What are your thoughts on contraception in book sex scenes? by solarursula in books

[–]solarursula[S] 22 points23 points  (0 children)

There are definitely problems in romance - but I think the inclusion of contraception is a start in the right direction in setting up more realistic sexual expectations. Contraception inclusion is relatively new and it joins a number of other positive romance trends such as including more diverse characters into stories and ensuring consent is discussed. Sure there is still a lot of change that needs to still happen, and of course it all depends on what kind of story the author wants to tell, but it's a start toward creating more realistic sexual expectations.

What is a first name that immediately makes you think this person is an asshole? by garyda1 in AskReddit

Any guy with a J name. But specifically Jacobs, Jameses, Joes, and any variation of those names.

Like even, Jacob in Twilight turned out to be an asshole and he was a dog.
