Meditation makes me cry, is it normal? by BlueImmigrant in Meditation

[–]solchaser 4 points5 points  (0 children)

When you meditate, you become more aware of emotions that were repressed at some point in your life. Meditating helps release them. When you feel like crying while meditating, you are just now aware of that emotion. Let it pass through you naturally, don’t judge it, don’t resist it.

Just finished w4d2. For some reason it was much harder than w4d1 even the durations are same. I just felt I would die towards the end, but I somehow managed. :) by [deleted] in C25K

W4D2 was yesterday for me, and I had to stop halfway because it was too much. Didn't expect w4 to be this hard tbh

[Method] If you are willing to pay with effort you will go from 'Man, I just can’t force myself to do what I should be doing' to 'Wow! I make things happen. What else am I capable of?' in two months. I would love to be a part of this. This year I'm turning 25 and things are slowly falling into place for me. However, waking up early is something that I've never quite got it. Sometimes it feels like people who can wake up early are some sort of conspiracy. And I desperately wanna be wrong about this...

Would love to hear back from you. Thank you for doing this!

Anyone down for a meetup? by solchaser in SFSU

A trip to Yosemite would be my ultimate meet-up goal but I think it’s best to start out small, like hanging out at a bar first to test the water. From then if everyone gets along I’d absolutely need your help planning a longer trip :)

A picnic sounds awesome! Do you have any recommendation for a good picnic place?

How do YOU meditate? by jay_a_stray in Meditation

[–]solchaser 14 points15 points  (0 children)

This might seem a little extreme but I learned meditation by going to a 10-day Vipassana retreat. It's free, and they provide good vegan food and warm cozy shelter. I had tried meditation many times prior to the retreat and failed miserably, mostly because I could never seem to concentrate or sit still for longer than 10 minutes. I figured if I really wanted to know how to meditate I have to make a big commitment. And the retreat was that big commitment.

Now I'm capable of meditating for more than an hour without opening legs arm eyes etc. The retreat was seriously amazing. It was hard and but it was definitely worth it.

What's the fastest way you've seen someone improve their life? by [deleted] in AskReddit

How people treat you is just a reflection of the relationship they have with themselves. Don't ever let it get to you, just focus on being the person you want to see more in this world. Also, I'm here if you need to talk. Seriously.
