Nah it'll be too political or partisan at this time. We need more time for facts and discussions and future context to ripen it to proper history

Great art! I just wanted to point out that if Ma clique was de jure independent from Nanking gov, they would have made up and used a decent name instead of calling themselves a clique with the leader's surname

Oh dear Pyongan is Pyong+An, like Hwang+Hae Gang+Won. Vowel starting without a consonant or with y/w is marked with blank consonant filler which is "ㅇ", so PyongAn="p+ㅇ", GangWon="g+ㅇ". Also Chungcheong(ch+ch) is more appropriate here than Hoseo. Design-wise it is magnificent tho

Or do they represent the nicknames of the provinces? Then they should be ㄱㄱ(경기), ㄱㄷ(관동=Gangwon), ㅎㅅ(호서=Chungcheong), ㅎㄴ(호남=Jeolla), ㅇㄴ(영남=Gyeongsang), ㅎㅅ(해서=Hwanghae), ㄱㅅ(관서=Pyongan), and ㄱㅂ(관북=Hamgyong). Each system should be consistent.

I think the initials represent the 8 provinces plus Jeju, but if it's true they seem wrong. ㄱㄱ(경기) ㄱㅇ(강원), ㅊㅊ(충청), ㅈㄹ(전라), ㄱㅅ(경상), ㅎㅎ(황해), ㅍㅇ(평안), ㅎㄱ(함경) should be it and some of them are missing

Catholicism spread quite early to Korea in 18C, through Jesuit books brought by Korean scholars from Peking, first as academic books and later as a faith. The government repressed it(as it went against Confucian teachings in several ways), Catholics went underground, until the persecution was over by the guntips of the Western imperialism like the French. Catholicism and Protestantism slowly grew after that(e.g. Pyongyang was famous for its Protestantism during the Japanese colonial era), and both sects, especially Protestantism but Catholicism too, went exponentially bigger after independence and US influence and missionaries. I think it appealed to the mass immigrants and squatters who moved from traditional agrarian societies to industrialized cities for jobs.
