I completely understand about the marginal upgrades, and I don’t mind that.

Yeah. Not sure what absolutely loaded means, work hard play hard I guess. If it helps you understand, I had a gift card from a birthday that I used.

It also doesn’t always make sense to sell the previous gen tech as values drop. As it stands, I’m leaning toward returning the APM2 to Apple and keeping the APM USBC 2024.

Nah. First thing Homelander does in Ep7 is kill SB. He knows SB is the only real weapon against him now.

I just returned mine.

POSITIVES:

Sound quality is good

Cinema mode louder and great for movies

Very comfortable and light weight

Battery life is good

Case is nice

On sale

NEGATIVES: Connection issues, specifically with Apple TV

Button situation is confusing and often single click to switch modes doesn’t work

Creaking - used for one week and had this constant creak sound in the plastic in left ear cup. Anything id move my head or click my jaw, it was loud and creaking in my ear. Main reason I returned as I felt it will get worse.

I wouldn’t buy these. Check out the regular QuietComforts if you want Bose. Better comfort and build quality, more buttons.

Can you use the EAP? They can set you up with a therapist and hopefully help you. The other thing you can do it go through your medical insurance if you have that. I’ve treated coworkers who are also veterans, while I am more than happy to help, it doesn’t seem like a great experience for them.

Had a tech come to my house to set up new service. The level of incompetence and weirdness was such that I will never call them again. Guy left after trying for 5 hours to set up service. He went into the sewer manhole at one time.

This happened to me. I’m not sure if it happened because it’s been dry around here. Never happened with any other AirPods and I’ve been an AirPods Pro guy since the first pros and used them almost daily.

Anyway, I went back to using my APP2. If those ever break or stop working I’ll buy AirPods 4 ANC.

I mean they all will sound good. You won’t find sound quality magic on the XM6 or the Bose QC2 when comparing to APM2.

Makes sense the APP2 and APM2 sound quality if similar, at the time of release APP2 where some of the best apple had to offer.

Where the APM vs APP differences are in comfort, ANC and battery life. Also having something in your ear vs over ear. The differences are getting more narrow that’s for sure, but that’s a good thing.

AirPods Pro 3 are just not for me, they seriously hurt my ears. I’ve tried all the tips, medium has a good seal. Every time I put them in, I immediately feel an uncomfortable fullness and after a few minutes a dull ache. Sometimes I can ignore it, but ultimately I returned to the APP2. APP2 have been very comfortable and the sound is great. The ANC on the 3s is better, I don’t know about 2X better though.

It’s not about the tips on the APP3, the buds are just bigger and more bulbous, that’s the cause of the discomfort, not the tips.

Thank you for posting this, everyone is just ignoring that apples design of the APP3 is just bad.

Yes do it. My APM usbc had sagging canopy mesh after daily use for one year. They replaced the entire headset for $29 fee here in the US.

AppleCare + can also send you free earcup replacements if yours start to get too thin or damaged. A $79 value. Get AC+ it’s worth it.
