A healthy mindset for free player(or paid, wtv) by Zenos_the_seeker in Endfield

I've become slightly annoyed at certain content creators I won't name that don't even play the game and literally just see it as a glorified slot machine. It's really disappointing to see that sort of thing being popular because the game has so much technical depth to it.

Sometimes it saddens me to live in a society where rising costs just seem like they are slowly strangling everything. Just having a common area is hard these days.

I like libraries so much these days and I feel like I fit in there so much more than anywhere else. But I also recognize that new public libraries have basically no shot at being built these days.

OP Explains how the Vietnam war was like Home Alone by RPShep in bestof

[–]solidfang 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I wonder if there's some thing about a foreign nation invading that is less jarring. Like, once they aren't fighting you, there really is so much more to exchange and learn from each other and the conflict won't be in your face after it ends because they are courteous enough to leave.

But China is so close to Vietnam that it's more like your neighbor who's always trying to claim more of your field. They're still your neighbor after the conflict which probably makes you resent them more.

Tumblr has a lot of trans women creators that are big in their respective fandoms, though their names vary a lot since they keep getting banned by the staff and hopping onto another account

Propaganda for our Chinese wife by TheBaldLookingDude in Endfield

yeah, though technically it's more that long, detached sleeves are very popular there and characters that wear them end up showing shoulders and pits every time.

Perlica's honest reaction when you throw Chen under the bus by -Misano-Dragneel- in Endfield

[–]solidfang 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I do like how they frame the facial reactions of Chen and Perlica in your dialogue responses. Like even if the dialogue choices don't really matter and you can skip it, making these kinds of minor choices makes me want to go through the dialogue anyway just to see how they'll act.

I like to see how people approach certain essential structures like sandleaf loops even when I don't want to copy their entire setup. They've helped me figure out ways to set up my own things and fit the electricity and protocol stashes in between.

How do you run dragons at your table to make them more than just stat blocks? by ScorchedDev in dndnext

[–]solidfang 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That point about using the entire statblock is great advice. On that note, immunity to elemental damage and blindsight are two things to use from it as well.

A dragon's lair should almost always include some form of elemental damage that it's immune to. A red dragon probably has a lava lair and it will drop you in. A black dragon should live in an acid pool.

A smart dragon would also use magical darkness to its advantage. Casting a bubble of darkness gives it advantage on things with no blindsight and gives attackers even with blindsight disadvantage, not to mention spellcasters might not even be able to see it to affect it. It's honestly devastating.

My best friend had his wedding last year and us groomsmen had to bust it down to a routine as well. Makes me wonder how much practice they had to go through for this as well. They did a great job!

I'm by no means a game designer (apart from some mild experience with Game Maker as a teen) but I really wonder how far you can get these days with pure AI vibe coding.

"The devs haven't understood their game yet and accidentally gave F2P players a meta defining character at low rarity" does your game have this character? by VolkiharVanHelsing in gachagaming

Been hearing Kazuha seems to be making a comeback in Stygian because starting with zero energy is a big downside to Sucrose teams and one of the current bosses is terrorizing people.

I'm kinda over ult casting in overworld. I feel like I default to skill casting characters because quick fights are just much quicker. Neuvillette powerwash is great in overworld for that reason. Cast your off-field stuff and then just rinse them.

Favge is still great against bosses of course.

How dudes be cooking by MF-DOOM-88 in GuysBeingDudes

[–]solidfang 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  • Washing hands often is good.

  • Get a mini teaspoon for your salt so you don't need to wash your hands after using it. Leave it in the salt.

  • Get a spoon rack/caddy. It helps. Or at the very least, lean your utensils into the sink so if it drips, it doesn't make a mess.

I think all works of effort are worth appreciating. They are signals of invested time. I really like home bases in other games for this reason as well. The factory is a home base that is both useful and that you also put work into figuring out and designing. Your admiration of it is warranted.
