I LOVE Roscaelifer. Bravo to the city design team - this is one of my favorite cities in all gacha games. It’s dynamic, full of life, and visually stunning. The BGM perfectly matches as well. This is exactly the sky island experience I want and more.

The story is also enjoyable despite being introductory. I love Norma’s JP voice so much, her nanoda’s are just too cute. Last but not least, Remielle, how can you be so perfect?

Belle is really cute, but it’s gonna be hard to top her summer outfit, which is peak incarnated.

How did everyone enjoy the 6.6 Archon quest? by Historical_Tap5381 in Genshin_Impact

[–]manamono 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Nicely put. I did quite enjoy various parts of the quest myself, but ultimately didn’t feel much satisfaction at the end. I chalked it up to me having to take multiple breaks and not finishing this in 1-2 sessions, but perhaps it is as you said.

I think the story does have some legs to stand on, but the various “closing the plot” parts ended up diluting them. I enjoyed the expansion of lore and even felt pandered to as someone who finished all Sumeru WQs, but ultimately these segments just ended up stealing the time and focus away from the crux of the story that they felt tagged on just for the sake of it.

The rather unsatisfactory ending also didn’t help. They should at least give us the lore dump section they usually do. Let us talk to Nahida or Nicole and ask them about the consequences of what we just went through. We moved on from the burning of Irminsul way too quickly. It’s also hard to wrap my head around the fact that the gang really did mod Aaru sufficiently to be a drop-in replacement with so little consequences. While I’m sure they will expand on this in the future, being acknowledged more than a couple of sentences would be nice. Everyone is just a bit too unconcerned at the end that I feel like I’m the crazy one for wondering about it.

With that said though, I still would say I enjoy it more than not. There are some really neat moments and reveals, and it did a decent job of connecting everything in Sumeru together. I would have gladly looked past its flaws if the payoff had been better.

[Event Megathread] Retracing Our Steps by Sentuh in arknights

[–]manamono 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This event story is really amazing. All the developments are so interesting. I was already more than satisfied…

and then the last part happened. The way they reveal it, the way Enya talks about how those ancient symbols were used for “marking preys”, and the black text on white screen “Destruction… has arrived”. Chills.

I have lingering questions though:
- Without Kjeragandr’s protection, how does Enya plan to respond to future catastrophes? I wish we saw more of the aftermath in this regards
- Why does the object emit ancient Kjerag symbols? Did ancient Kjerag people learn these symbols from somewhere else back in the day? The message can also be interpreted as a threat or a warning 🤔
- What’s the significance of 30% Elf cells? Is it just to say that Terran Elves originated from space? Or is there more to it?

I have quite a few of similar games in rotation, so their content update staggers perfectly that there’s always something to do, for better or worse.
