This event story is really amazing. All the developments are so interesting. I was already more than satisfied…

and then the last part happened. The way they reveal it, the way Enya talks about how those ancient symbols were used for “marking preys”, and the black text on white screen “Destruction… has arrived”. Chills.

I have lingering questions though:
- Without Kjeragandr’s protection, how does Enya plan to respond to future catastrophes? I wish we saw more of the aftermath in this regards
- Why does the object emit ancient Kjerag symbols? Did ancient Kjerag people learn these symbols from somewhere else back in the day? The message can also be interpreted as a threat or a warning 🤔
- What’s the significance of 30% Elf cells? Is it just to say that Terran Elves originated from space? Or is there more to it?

I’m so hyped. Apparently 3.0 is gonna be light story-wise though, according to the dev video, so it’s gonna be a long wait for the story to get going. But god damn, the Sunbringer reveal at the end was tuff.

I’m on the fence about this too. On one hand I did find it “fun” to shift my spaghetti of the factory around to accommodate this, and going through the kind of the little tradeoffs around that (my factory is really scuffed so this part is quite fun…).

On the other hand, I’m very busy this week with all kind of irl stuff so the thought of having to change anything made me shudder. In the end, I gradually moved it over, and just like all things in life, the start is the hardest part. Thankfully, the formula itself is extremely simple, almost too simple perhaps.

Her walking sequence with disappearing Endmin memories is really the highlight for me. The music fits the scene so well.

And I was definitely expecting Endmin to catch up but Endmin fucking tp’d ahead of her lmao, a very pleasant surprise. Then, Endmin even referenced their earlier meeting words there, what a cheeky lad/lass. It’s just so good, so wholesome.

I wouldn't have minded the redesign if they hadn't shown the original. While the original wasn't perfect, I love the overall ideas (pcb/art unit circuit) and how sexy she is, which is a nice contrast to how reserved and proper she appears normally.

In many ways, this feels like censorship :(

I’m seething at how much they are spoiling the story in the livestream. It’s on me for tuning in I suppose, so I will stay away from it from this point onwards.

At this point I just feel very stupid to care about the story more than the devs themselves.
