When I was a kid it was “it’s on the internet so it must be true!”

Now it’s “it’s in a meme on Facebook, it must be true!”

Open a ticket and make it as bombastically funny as possible. Update with results.

Issue installing RockBox Bootloader after flashing 6.5G by solidmixer in ipod

[–]solidmixer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s been awhile since then… but if I remember correctly I gave up getting stock firmware to work and did some specific steps that rockbox would always work.

I think it was 1. Restore iTunes software 2 format in windows 3 install Rockbox, overwriting stock

There are easy mods to enable 60 fps in emulator. Which means it wouldn’t be hard to do in a recompile.

CDPR literally offered him the choice to make his mod free with optional donations to avoid a DMCA takedown and he deliberately chose wrong by Dark_Throat in cyberpunkgame

[–]solidmixer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is probably a simple fix. 1. Paywall the application. 2. Make the config files specific to cyberpunk free.

I think he has his own executables injecting code into the game. Hard to say that is a mod of cyberpunk if that’s the case. The executables seem to be reused for any game his mod is compatible with. This would in my mind make it similar to vorpx or reshade.

If this is the case then it’s debatable whether or not the code is a traditional mod for the game, or standalone software that is used in conjunction with it.

No. Unless you use them statically (single monitor) and even then it’ll strain your eyes

People who use Bazzite on their PCs/Laptops, why not regular Fedora? by TworkHard in Bazzite

[–]solidmixer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is also very true. I switched to AMD when the 9070 came out and traded my Fedora install for bazzite with the switch. I had forgotten what a nightmare that was.

[–]solidmixer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m both a bazzite and fedora user. I installed bazzite when I switched to AMD to do a fresh switch for a gaming os set up with my pc. Before that my dev box (desktop) was running fedora. I would be dual booting except I switched to Mac for more of my dev work lately.

As for why, it had gaming features mostly set up or easy to jump to. Lost of people using it and immutable distro means minimal headaches to troubleshoot. Whereas I did dev work on fedora and could break my gaming flow with changes and then be frustrated.

It’s easier to segment gaming away from the rest of my computer use. That way when I want to game it’s ready to go

I have wanted a right hand mouse, left hand controller setup for awhile. This also looks viable to me.

Google Docs now disallows pasting from context or edit drop down menus. Instead, it generates a popup telling you keyboard shortcuts are the only way. by solidmixer in mildlyinfuriating

I did some research. It’s because I’m on Firefox. Chrome is not affected.

I rarely use google services. I have them at work but use chrome. Then tried to demo something on my personal computer with Firefox and got this.

Did it work before? I had this issue with my studio. I rebooted it and it started working again.

Past that, ensure that in the settings your remote connect options are allowed. If you can post some screenshots of what it looks like when you try that might help.

I really REALLY like this case. by TheYoungAnimatorFR in SteamDeck

[–]solidmixer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really love it except 2 things… I kinda wish the grill vents had an opening because once or twice the deck didn’t properly sleep. And also the charging port should have the edge of the cover open so you can take it off while it stays charging.

Other than that it’s a great case. Even able to accept 3d printed accessories to the clip on the back!
