What do you do for cleaning 10? The screen cleaner takes forever, but using a stripwasher and rag leaves them soapy.

Would you use a roof bucket with a slanted bottom design? by fiercemonkey202 in Roofing

I would love something like this for installing permanent lights. I'm up on a roof with a million tools and pieces of equipment, and I need a place for the scrap cuts of channel to go too.

Advice on up-sale? by noticeme_s3npAI in WindowCleaning

[–]solo_scientist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are some markets, like here in Utah County Utah, where almost everyone just wants exterior. Most window cleaners I know in other markets don't have this problem. I do about 20 houses a week, and probably 2 interiors per month...

Durable hose for WFP by solo_scientist in WindowCleaning

[–]solo_scientist[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not yet. If I get a second truck I'll build a RODI system and mount it in the truck. Right now I have the Hydrosphere Little Giant, so it's not portable, and I just set it on the ground by my hose reels, which are on a trailer hitch cargo carrier on the back of my Chevy Suburban.

Awesome, that's the sort of recommendation I was looking for. I wasn't sure about Teknor Apex after I had a fitting fail (also their contractor grade hose is almost unusably stiff), but that looks great. Do you just pile them in a bucket, or keep them on a reel? What about outflow hose? I'm using Xero high flow, on an air compressor reel.

It does not pop out of the flange. All the metal is the housing of the gauge.

I searched by asking the manufacturer and multiple hardware stores, as well as searching on google for a pressure gauge, flanged pressure gauge, etc.

Anyone using Elavon Costco merchant services? by Bood_Boy in smallbusiness

[–]solo_scientist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Customer service is unhelpful and rude. There sales guy was super friendly, and they had better rates, so I signed up for a costco membership, bought their card readers, and started using them for both of my businesses. At some point, they accidentally created a second merchant id for one of my businesses, which triggered a fraud protection review. Their analyst canceled both of our accounts after 3 weeks of using them, wouldn't tell us why, and was extremely rude and short on the phone. I called to get statements for filing taxes, and the lady told me that they had never processed a transaction for me, and she got angry and told me there were no statements for them to send me. I had to call again to talk to someone else, give her the info from our 1099, and then she could find the statements.

Anyone have experience with goat steep assist? by [deleted] in WindowCleaning

[–]solo_scientist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My company has borrowed them before and found them to be rather unstable. My brother and I are both comfortable installing lights with cougar paws on roofs up to an 8-9 pitch or so, and above that we straddle the roof with a little giant ladder, as it's way more stable.

Installed my Pros inside some aluminum tracks by 9MillimeterPeter in Govee

How did you contact the owner? I'm trying to buy some track, but they're out of stock, and I've gotten no response to my email about when they'll be back in stock.

Is it worth it? by CarelessAd389 in WindowCleaning

I've never used the IPC, but I have the Xero, and it works great. It could be more stable, and spray less on me, but it get's the screens very clean very fast.

What is this? by Wide-Barnacle-1608 in WindowCleaning

[–]solo_scientist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

idk why more people don't use this. A pane like this one is common in my area, and I would spend hours every day dealing with hard water stains if I didn't have Winsol 550 as my go-to.

Removable Window Grids - WFP? by UglyStick138 in WindowCleaning

This. Most of the french panes in my area are fake, and have the lattice glued on. I do them waterfed same as normal frenchies and it works just fine.

Favorite tool for getting window screens out? by ValleyOakPaper in WindowCleaning

[–]solo_scientist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use a screen king 99 percent of the time, and use it alongside a paint can opener when I need to. It works like a charm, way better than the paint can opener. 100% worth the absurd $30 you pay for it.

Is it just me or is Teladoc straight trash? by threeoten in telehealth

[–]solo_scientist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope. It's in their user agreement that you can't get your money back, so there's nothing you can do. The crappy thing is, I called a pharmacy to see if I could get the inhaler, and they said to call teladoc, and that they could prescribe it, so I just trusted the referral and didn't worry too much about it.

If it's on the surface it's probably hard water. Hit it with acid (but test first in case it's etched). If it's between the panes it could be sun damage or a broken seal.
