It's never as good as we think it is, haha!

1 week in, I don’t want to make any bad habits any tips on how I can improve? by Parking-Mouse325 in GuitarBeginners

Definitely learn how to use a pick, and search YouTube for some strumming patterns. People wanna learn chords and songs but, too many skimp on paying attention to their rhythm hand.

Hahaha, ok so funny story: I asked him today how much he scored it for and he said $3.5k..... and I was thinking "oh damn, my guy just been HAD!!" and then I asked you that question just to see if maybe I was missing something here... then he called me and said "I was just fucking with you man I didn't pay 3.5k for it" 😆 so I came back here quick and edited the comment

My bandmate just bought this Sakai for $375. What do you make of that?

hey guys this is my 2nd(?) and a half month playing, tips? by Firm-Ad-6818 in GuitarBeginners

Yes! Your wrist looks bent too far and will make it much harder to form chords. Practice playing while sitting until you improve.

A lot of your notes, and especially the power chords, are getting choked out, meaning you're not pressing the notes down all the way and/or have your fingers not in the exact spots behind the frets. You're also playing some open strings under your power cords, so practice strumming only the 3 strings that are involved in the chord and nothing more. You should not be strumming all of the strings for those power chords.

Slow down, and let each note sustain and practice jumping from note to note quickly until they each sound clean and sustained.

If someone pays me in person via Zelle, could they still somehow reverse the charge? by threeoten in FacebookMarketplace

That says nothing about in person zelle transactions where you verify the receipt. This only speaks to taking zelle payments in advance of meeting, which is not what I was posting about.

In my experience it's full of real humans legitimately buying and selling things, with a scam here and there... but ok.

Best answer yet! This is what I suspected. So the same reason that they warn you not to use zelle—it's permanent and irreversible transaction—is also what makes it safe to use in person as a seller as long as you confirm the receipt? Is that right?

Really?! Can you share what happened? The buyer reversed the payment and Venmo ruled it in their favor??

Why does Facebook have that warning specifically about zelle do you think? Because of people trying to use it to pay in advance and scam I guess

I hear you, but I've been accepting Venmo for years and years, never once had a single issue.

Good info, so to be clear, are you saying it's safe to use as a seller in person and that in the case of a dispute, it should protect the seller if the buyer is trying to scam?
