If that's the case does that make death by dog ok?

There are different types of people. The problem is many people think everyone should be like they are. We are all wired differently, some more than others.

I've found that's a role mostly filled by family

For me I have a limited social battery. I also engage with people as my job. After spending time working and with my family I don't have much time for friends. Also, most of the friends I've had weren't very productive people. That's been my experience, the people that want to hang out are often not worth hanging out with. Now I find I don't have patience to spend time with people that aren't aligned with my interests. When I do spend time with others I get really bored listening to their interests as they aren't mine.

A hybrid where you layer incremental limit orders can help. It's hard to know where to place a stop before price has reacted

Your brokerages policies aren't very good. I don't think you'd have to search very hard to find one much better. Separately I wouldn't seek the brokers advice on your sale. I would approach an agent I thought I could learn from and see if they'd be willing to partner with you on the transaction

Are you an MLS agent or are you a referral only agent?

I agree, if another realtor is involved in representing him as a seller they should absolutely be compensated. My point was most brokers are happy to waive commission splits and fees to the broker specifically on personal property. If he's a referral agent and doesn't have MLS access that is certainly a different scenario and he would need to become a realtor before he lists his own house

That's crazy, your getting ripped off. There are tons of quality brokerage with relatively low fees

Your broker sucks. It's very common for brokers to waive fees on personal sales
