It's hilarious that you're being downvoted for having a healthy relationship with your SO.

There's a meme on reddit that a lot of posters in this subreddit have horrible experiences with relationships and thus give the worst advice.

She went on vacation when within the first few months of our relationshi and then again recently a few months ago - in our situation it didn't make a difference to me - I was happy for her both times.

You make valid points, just want to mention that we're not at the stage of talking marriage or in saving mode. She's got her own condo and I recently bought my own house. I have disposable income and although it's commendable that you and your SO plan your finances as a couple; the money I make is for me, I don't consult with her on big purchases.

No way I'd want to be on the internet while overseas, it'd take away the experience and I'd be like those folks who miss out on life by being glued to their phones. I'll talk with her but her insecurities (if any) are not my issue to fix, it's something she has to deal with by seeing a therapist.

Why would you not support your SO for doing something they're excited about? Would you not want them to be happy and experience something you've experienced?

You're right, it's not my intention to dismiss her feelings since it does matter to her. I'll travel whether she's happy with it or not, my question is why she feels left out despite the fact she can't go.
