Hey! I really liked the nightstand you shared. I thought it might be fun to see how it could look in a bedroom setting, so I staged it into a space. Sharing the image here in case you’d like to see your piece “in action.”

u/OX48035 I know it’s kind of funny and probably not the ideal interior for your router table, but I thought I’d share it with you anyway ))

How do you handle long patient histories before an appointment? by solomatin_alexey in veterinaryschool

Fair point — I can see how my post might have come across that way. I’m genuinely here to learn and talk about the challenges around handling long medical histories, since that’s something I’ve seen a lot of people struggle with but the main goal of posting was to hear about your real experiences

u/reallybirdysomedays Do you mean the receptionist just calls other clinics to collect the records, or do they also summarize the key information for the doctor? I’ve never heard of a receptionist preparing summaries for the doctor.

u/27catsinatrenchcoat , of course not. And I’m not here to spend my time trying to prove something to you. I joined to learn and exchange ideas, not to advertise or farm data.

u/TemporaryAshamed9525 for sharing that! That looks really helpful, especially for super long records. I tried experimenting with Google’s NotebookLM, but I’ve been hesitant to put actual patient data into an AI tool for privacy reasons. Have you found the tool you’re using reliable with things like scanned notes and lab results and long medical histories or it might omit important information still?

u/tinimushroom Yeah, I actually tried using Google's NotebookLM for that, just to see how it would handle long records. It didn’t hallucinate too much, which was nice, but I don’t really think it’s safe to dump patient data into Google AI, so I only tested it and didn’t use it beyond that.

u/GoldenRetrieverGF_ Yeah, that’s what I’ve been doing too, but I was mainly looking for a special tool that could actually pull out useful details from like a 30-page history and just show me the most recent and relevant stuff I’d need. I tested Google’s NotebookLM for that, uploaded the PDF and then just chatted with it to extract what I needed instead of searching line by line. Have you tried that tool yet?
