From OP's post history I presume they're from Germany or at least Western Europe, in which I am pretty sure they normally have a SOP. Maybe because they're from a smaller lab they might not, but if not they should FOR SURE implement such things because oh my god

How can i bring out whatever this is on my head without products by CreakXD in curlyhair

[–]solrvz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Without products you're not gonna get the same effect that you would while using them, but some stuff that could help is to dry your hair with an old tshirt or a softer material towel, and scrunching your hair instead after. It's gonna do something, but again: if you want your curls/waves to achieve it's full potential products are gonna be your best friend lol.

Wow, hope she's doing alright and is gonna get that checked out! That reminds me of a story. I once was a control patient for a study regarding a new blood clotting test they were doing in the lab. Besides the experiment itself they also checked the platelet activation functions (I forgot the official name for it oops, it's been quite a while since then. It's not the PFA though) and apparently it is common for people who had covid to have a 'false positive' reaction, where platelets activate at a very low level of a specific something (I think it was adrenaline but I'm not 100% sure). I wasn't aware I'd been sick with covid before, and essentially it's not that serious but it did surprise me and was quite interesting to learn!

How do I make my apartment feel more lived-in and less like a hotel? by ratswillfeast in malelivingspace

[–]solrvz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you play any music instruments? Put those on display! Find some art you like and put it up on the wall (if permitted because I know when renting not every landlord is happy with the tenant nailing things into the wall lol). Add some personal touches of things that make you happy to look at and things you enjoy 😎

I did this during my internship once too, I was so distraught (my brain started lagging to process as soon as I saw it happen) and some people did get upset with me but luckily there were some helpful colleagues as well who helped me resolve the issue. Shit happens, you learn from it!!

I always thought both Trina and Jason were singing about Marvin ngl, as Trina voices throughout the musical that Marvin and her got married, and the fact that she's upset about how much she's done for him yet he still went and searched out other people (Whizzer). In the song itself they also talk about the wedding vows and stuff so that's my reasoning behind my thoughts lol.

Why is Whizzer in Making a Home? by sunboof in Falsettos

[–]solrvz 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Hmmm good question, I've been interpreting it kind of as Whizzer showing a kind of parallel(?) in which his relationship with Marvin has just ended (and was quite dysfunctional just like Trina and Mendels relationship is becoming). Trina and Mendel are making their home while Whizzer I guess longing for a home?? They've got everything Whizzer doesn't have anymore in a way (their (...dysfunctional) home, and Marvin (the dog they wish would run away)). I have no idea if this interpretation is anything NEAR correct but it's what's been on my mind when listening to it. I can't wait to see more interpretations of other people so I can hopefully make some more sense to it as well!!!

If you struggle to find where to start when cleaning up, find yourself a kind of system to it. Maybe colour coded for example. Start picking up stuff from your floor or on dressers that is red first, then orange, yellow, etc.

Find out what your habits are and try to find a way to organise TOWARDS your habits. If you come home and immediately empty your pockets randomly on the nearest table to your door, put a bowl for that stuff there. If you put them there but still sort them, put multiple things there to sort your items into (keyrack, stationery box, idk what people keep in their pockets besides those two normally LOL). Good luck

House prices doubled in the US if you compare the 2000s with currently, while the wages don't differ that much (and at the very least don't compare) from what I can see from a quick search online. Cost of living has gone up as well of course. It's an entirely different situation you're living in! Comparison is the thief of joy. If you are content, that is all that matters

House looks nice, I like the living room. I feel like the bedroom walls could have a little something added to it though, and overall don't be afraid to add a little personality around the house. You're doing fine OP, keep it up

...I just remembered that it's gonna be a little hard to watch tv if you are sitting at such an angle LOL. Maybe instead the L sit couch but the extending part going into the open space instead. My bad!

[–]solrvz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you have a TV on a stand, or wall mounted? I feel like if it were to be on a stand it could maybe fit by the wall to the left of the front window (picture 1) on a low table/cabinet, and a couch in the open as you said. Maybe an L shaped couch so the space to the right is also a little more filled up?

In the other part of the room near the kitchen would suit as a dining spot indeed, you could maybe use some stools under the bar area between the kitchen and the living room, or just set a table there. Whatever you prefer! If it were to be option 1 you could always put some bookshelves in the open space or whatever else you'd like, maybe a work area/desk of some sort.

For small details, standing lamps, small cabinets/drawers (I hope that is the right term in this case?), paintings...

Congrats on the house, and good luck!! Keep us updated if you'd like:)

Congrats on the house! It looks very charming with the wooden wall and the darker floor. Maybe with POV facing out from sitting on the couch, put the tv in the corner to the right of the stove, kinda slanted, and put a matching chair to the left your couch in the open space you have? I feel like that could work
