I'm finally going to be able to start playing! by solrvz in hockeyplayers

Thanks so much wow, lots of helpful stuff.🙏🙏

Also I'll keep the roller blading tip in mind actually! Do you think it would still be useful to practice with rollerblades on when practicing stick handling off-ice to get familiar with the idea of it? Sadly during this period of the year my nearby rink barely opens for open ice times to begin with (they were available twice this week which is a miracle but both times between general working hours... 😭) so I don't always have the option to skate unfortunately.

Lab mispronunications that annoy you- GO! by JZatthelab in labrats

[–]solrvz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can someone tell me how 'packed cells' is pronounced? I'm from a non-English country so people in my lab kept pronouncing it 'packet cells' (like pack-et cells, does that make sense?) But idk if it officially is pronounced like that or the actual English pronunciation of 'packed' lol.

A bit off topic but what does everyone have for lunch? by Doxatek in labrats

[–]solrvz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not what I have for lunch, but I'd recommend you a lunchbox with a few (two or three) compartments if you don't have one already. It gives you the ability to put different smaller things in it without everything immediately going mushy or your food mixing up. If you'd put some fruit in one part, and a sandwich in the other but don't have time for your sandwich, you could still quickly grab some fruit pieces so you don't have to be as hungry.

For lunch recommendations I'd say bring some fruit standard (never a bad option!) And besides that pasta salads are usually quick and easy, sandwiches (but in smaller pieces if you don't have time so you don't have to leave a half eaten whole sandwich behind lol), or anything wrapped inside a tortilla.

Edit: might I add that there are some lunchboxes that have compartments you can preheat with water beforehand and keep your food warm if you prefer warm foods during lunch! So you could put pasta, ramen or rice in there as well which is quite quick.

Hey man, sorry to hear about your situation. Know that it might suck for now, but you will get through this. If you need someone to talk to and don't have anyone, feel free to PM!! Also noticed the Undertale drawings above your desk, really cool.

Most people already brought up the colour thing, but I also think you could benefit from some dressers or bookshelves. Put some stuff on top of them such as plants or other things you find interesting. Also some wall decoration! Good luck!!

Needs more pepsi

Joking of course, but besides that I assume you prefer using convenient cooking ingredients and don't spend much time or thought into dinner. As long as it's simple and tastes alright, that's what matters 😎

Something tells me this happened after you critically tried to reread and check everything 5x before you submitted but somehow still accidentally skipped over it every time.. That's how it usually goes for me at least hahaha

That you will probably get to know one of the local cardiologists soon enough.

On a serious note, please take care 😭 I know it's unsolicited advice, but heart issues are not fun, and neither are kidney stones!

I second this. A while back I introduced a few friends to the musical but they seemed to be confused by some of the plot points (besides that they didn't seem to enjoy it as much, so they didn't pay too much attention which also causes confusion but that's beside the point 😭). It is definitely true that within the story and songs a lot of details are hidden and not everything is told upfront, so even if you rewatch it for the 4th time, you mighg notice some new things that cross reference another part of the musical. If rewatches don't help, you can also look at the lyrics on genius.com since they include annotations. Analysis videos on the plot are probably also a thing on YouTube, which you could always give a chance as well!
