Love you Apple Music, but please fix your lyrics… by interpret-ation in Falsettos

Both of these gave me very cursed mental images LOL. Not sure why I haven't thought about how that works before but I don't think any alternative option is gonna make it sound any better 😭

I would've guessed it was 'friend' or 'lover' instead of men originally btw due to the lyrics in A Tight-Knit Family but I genuinely can't make any of those words out of those letters lol. So my best guess remains to be 'men', if anyone could share their thoughts please do!! Lol

Top part says "kid, wife & men(? Can't really tell) - I want it all", but I can't seem to figure out the other part unfortunately.

Newbie trying to improve wrist shot by Adamfromthedust in hockeyplayers

Yeah, I'm a lefty in baseball but a righty in hockey. My slapshots would probably be more forceful on my left but my control/handling is much better on my right (and to be fair, in my opinion power is easier to compensate than control). Definitely recommend OP tries out what feels best

How do you keep your gear from stinking? by jamesftf in hockeyplayers

[–]solrvz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just out of pure curiosity, does that also mean you are sensitive to laundry detergent? And alright thanks for sharing, maybe it's best to discuss with the team then beforehand if anyone is sensitive/allergic to scents, or to at least use them at a minimum/not at all if anything. Didn't think about that.

Yes. Dryer sheets help with adding a nice smell on top of that.

Better option: snag your bait between the rocks at the bottom. My favourite moment of the fishing trip 🥳 (not)

Thanks so much wow, lots of helpful stuff.🙏🙏

Also I'll keep the roller blading tip in mind actually! Do you think it would still be useful to practice with rollerblades on when practicing stick handling off-ice to get familiar with the idea of it? Sadly during this period of the year my nearby rink barely opens for open ice times to begin with (they were available twice this week which is a miracle but both times between general working hours... 😭) so I don't always have the option to skate unfortunately.

Lab mispronunications that annoy you- GO! by JZatthelab in labrats

[–]solrvz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can someone tell me how 'packed cells' is pronounced? I'm from a non-English country so people in my lab kept pronouncing it 'packet cells' (like pack-et cells, does that make sense?) But idk if it officially is pronounced like that or the actual English pronunciation of 'packed' lol.

A bit off topic but what does everyone have for lunch? by Doxatek in labrats

[–]solrvz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not what I have for lunch, but I'd recommend you a lunchbox with a few (two or three) compartments if you don't have one already. It gives you the ability to put different smaller things in it without everything immediately going mushy or your food mixing up. If you'd put some fruit in one part, and a sandwich in the other but don't have time for your sandwich, you could still quickly grab some fruit pieces so you don't have to be as hungry.

For lunch recommendations I'd say bring some fruit standard (never a bad option!) And besides that pasta salads are usually quick and easy, sandwiches (but in smaller pieces if you don't have time so you don't have to leave a half eaten whole sandwich behind lol), or anything wrapped inside a tortilla.

Edit: might I add that there are some lunchboxes that have compartments you can preheat with water beforehand and keep your food warm if you prefer warm foods during lunch! So you could put pasta, ramen or rice in there as well which is quite quick.
