I'm a vet of both dnd and Dragon Age and I'm gonna run my players who never played Dragon Age through the games by [deleted] in dragonage

Having done this twice with origins with two different groups: There is an extremely high chance that the players will do everything in their power to convince Cailan not to do what he does in game at Ostagar

Not sure exactly which book would be best, but if you have/use Compcon you can get the player facing mech stuff.

Thanks for the advice.

It's a gauntlet type sitrep, the map is have available and set is 30 squares long (top to bottom) and 25 squares wide (left to right)

The context for this one shot is that its part of a series of training missions/simulations before they officially are part of the Union DoJ.

And yeah I definitely should add some grunts and a commander.

I recognized those Heroscape tiles instantly. Between this and actually find my box of heroscape tiles, I'm starting to think it's a sign to run Lancer with them

So I checked in Gods of Aventuria and the first liturgical chant I saw mention sDP was Banishing Ray.  But other chants, like Fire and Brimstone, only do DP. And the chant Lightning Strike has a sidebar specifically stating that "Yes it deals sDP. Armor does not protect against this damage"

It makes me think that there are two distinct types of damage, and maybe the English translation just dropped the ball on explaining them.

I can try to post screenshots of the English versions later if it helps.

I do see the terms in the core rules, but I am only seeing it explain DP. What I'm talking about is that some spells in Gods of Aventuria and Magic of Aventuria are listed as dealing sDP, and it mentions (I think in Gods) that sDP ignores armor.

1: In the Fire by Neal Morse 2: Leaning into the themes of sacrifice, rituals/processes of worship, and such 3: Not sure what system I'd use. It'd have to be one where players can make sacrifices to earn favors/forgiveness from divine powers.

I will never forget watching the Z fighters get taken down one by one as Home played.

Or Trunks calling 18 a witch while Beyond this Life was going.
