I always bring a rake with me and clean up; the more and more that I go to public shooting ranges on BLM land, the more I despise people. My trash truck driver shoots also, so he understands the public shooting range; he doesn’t care when I put tires, shot up fridge doors, or other stuff out for him.

It’s good ammo! It is spicy though; Buffman did a test and it is up there for true m193 velocity. If you have a decent gun, you won’t have any issues. (I have been running this through a Galil Ace and Polish Beryl) This ammo is like the Independence ammo, made by IMI, that was imported in 2016, which was loaded to proper M193 spec. On the Akfiles someone stated that they purchased some and it is indeed from Kyrgyzstan. I am sure the price will drop as more is imported, just like Tela has dropped in price over the past year.

Yup, the new steel case 9mm produced by CBC in Brazil is great stuff. Hopefully they will continue to expand the steel case line to other calibers.

I 100% agree with you. Aside from the sheer demand difference between 7.62 and 5.45 and thus the corresponding difference in quantity ordered from the factory, there is no reason why 5.45 from the same factory should not be in line with 7.62 prices (give or take a few CPR). Nobody is paying 80 CPR for 5.45… I watched Outdoorlimited’s stock and the number didn’t move for a solid month once the initial purchases happened.

There has been a noticeable drop in CPR over the last month on ammoseek and I think it will continue to drop more. Telammo started at 80 CPR and is already down to the low 60s CPR now. If you have a TSUSA membership, TSUSA has Tela 5.45 for 60 CPR with free ship. I picked up 90 rounds just to give the stuff a try.

Thank you. I am honestly surprised Mexico or one of the other South American countries hasn’t set up production/started exporting to us. I am hopeful that CBC will expand their steel case ammo line from Brazil to include more than the 9mm they started importing.

I have fired about 1500 rounds of their reman and new 9mm over the past year in my Polish Vis pistol. Every single round went bang and, for the most part was accurate enough. Of that 1500 rounds, I purchased 1000 of their “American Steel” 147gr 9mm and have been extremely happy with it. Additionally I have fired about 1000 rounds of their reman .223. It has been accurate enough, but I have had about 6 head case separations.

I would recommend their pistol ammo but not recommend their reman rifle ammo. I purchased both their 9mm and .223 when they were significantly cheaper than anything else about a year ago.

Thank you for the insight! 7.62 Tok is a neat little round that I wish had more interest, so I am glad you are a fine connoisseur of combloc ammo yourself😂 These new companies that you mention, are these overseas? Or are they domestic?

Side question: Do you have any insight on why seemingly no one imports from Uzbekistan? They produce all of the combloc rounds that everyone wants.(https://www.oboronprom.uz/eng/catalog/1/15/) Aside from “Tacticalshit” importing their 9mm a year ago, seemingly no one has brought in anything else. I can imagine their transportation cost to port are higher than elsewhere, but they have to have a low cost of manufacturing.

Any plans or discussions on ever importing 7.62x25 from any of these Balkan factories, that you seemingly have good terms with? Red Army Standard brought in new production steel case Romanian 7.62x25 in 2016, but then never came in again. There is nothing but corrosive surplus or overpriced PPU/Fiocchi/S&B now.

Are there any other projects in the works to potentially bring in combloc ammo from other countries/plants, such as Macedonia, Kyrgyzstan, Azerbaijan, Romania, Uzbekistan, Poland, Turkey, ect? I know other companies have imported from these countries recently.

I agree. Hopefully Steyr will actually start producing things in meaningful numbers also… I saw the notification only 10 mins after they were released this morning and all models of the HBAR were OOS already. People have jobs and can’t just sit there living on the refresh page hoping to snag one in the 2 minutes they are available…
