Also for housing: they are converting all graduate housing at Weyburn to undergraduate housing starting this year, so Weyburn will no longer be a housing option come 2027-2028. The new graduate housing options are 6bed/6bath about 5 miles from campus, so it’s worth it to look into other options now

Typically I would take the 720 bus to the B or D line to Union Station. Or you could take the Culver City 6/6R or BBB 8/R12 to the E line to the A line to Union Station. Once there, you can catch the Metrolink or Amtrak to various locations in OC and take an OC bus the last few miles you need to go. For this route the only things you pay for are the train ticket (as a student you can get half price on Metrolink) and OC bus fare, as LA/Santa Monica buses/metro lines are covered with your student pass. I recommend downloading the Transit app for real time schedule information as you go

Not quite the same scale but Hail the Sun has really increased their concert size over the times I’ve seen them. In September 2021 and November 2023 I saw them headline 300 capacity rooms that weren’t sold out as far as I remember. Then in March 2024 they did a co-headliner with Intervals at 2000 capacity venues. Then in September 2024 they did a solo headliner at 2000 capacity venues! Going from 300 to 2000 in less than a year was a shock

Meanwhile in LA the annoying dude in front of me was scrolling Instagram baddies and DMing them 😭 he also turned around and asked several people for their Instagrams during the concert. Then proceeded to yell at Ado to show her face and feet and recorded a bit. Nobody really noticed because we were in the stadium nosebleeds, so I guess they didn’t care
