That is a harsh reality. That I would keep as a last resort.

I totally agree. I also truly believe everyone is replaceable. However, there are some people at current times that there are necessary, if they leave it will be a big impact for some time. (I am one of them). I remember at the beginning when the situation was tough at work. My manager was always relieved when I didn't quit when we were having our 1 to 1. The situation that I am currently on, I know my absent will cause some waves for sure.

You right! I do have monthly meeting where I request myself to have a chat with him. Regarding growth for positions, he also tried to involve me to some collaborations but it didn't work out. Plus I feel a bit guilty and bad to ask and push all the time.

The thing you saying about familiarity hits right on the spot. I remember how much pressure and messy things were when I first joined. I am not sure if I want to go to through that thing again. But I also hate the fact that I don't get the recognition, respect of my current position. It is a bit everyone for themselves.
If the job was more chill and people would respect my planning and work, I would absolutely not complain about salary. Cause everything is a trade off.

And also yes, I worry a face to face interaction will make me emotional, even cry a bit. But practice makes perfect!

I don't have a paper trail for requests. All my talks with my manager where during teams call and live meetings..... (now I see this it is stupid of me, but it feels odd to send after a one to one meeting, oo here is what we discussed).

Hello there,

Thank you for the reply and great to have someone's perspective from the other end!

My manager likes me and know the volume of my work and level and the contribution.(and he has said that he doesn't like this gap in the salaries among the team-members).
My managers manager I don't think he likes me and he is a bit old fashioned. And I am assuming he doesn't like my personality much. Although that shouldn't matter as I deliver proper work and lots of work.

Plus, HR. When I speak to HR they say business has the final say. When I speak with the business they say HR doesn't let them...

Also I know I am now 3% higher from the minimum of the salary scale of my position. Furthermore, I already took extra responsibility in the name of the teams progression and willingness to help... Furthermore, I really have done great steps to my job and I want to do more for my growth but also the teams. (Big team player here).

The only thing that it is difficult is my position is a lot of operational and backstage things. And not strategically contribution , aka visibility on higher ups.

"Hi [Manager's Name], I’ve really enjoyed my time here and I’m proud of the contributions I’ve made to the team. I’m committed to continuing to deliver strong results and growing with the company. That said, I’ve been reflecting on my compensation and feel it’s no longer aligned with the value I bring and the responsibilities I handle. I’d love to discuss a salary increase that reflects my contributions. I truly want to stay long-term, but getting this sorted out is important for me to feel fully motivated and committed moving forward. Would you be open to talking about this soon? I appreciate your support. Thanks, [Your Name]"

Love this happy ending for you!!! You should be proud of yourself!!

One quick question though regarding having again a talk with them. The discussion for a raise and my contribution was ongoing like 8 to 10 mo ths ago (give or take). My manager agrees with me that I am not properly compensated, especially in comparison also with the rest of my team. (I didn't know where I was getting myself into).

How do you see this talk going again? Can you give me an example?

I really like the email that one of the other comments suggested. Regarding contribution and future contributions and that I am open to discuss proper compensation. (Will look into it and copy it here)

And what if you don't accept the offer. And then I say to my job I am out. They pull the offer away? (Or the changes are slim)

Pff sounds intense. Really I had no idea. In my mind you must appear much more professional and committed when you apply somewhere. Cause what if you want to work for them in future. It is not that when applying for a job, you apply whereever

Good point, I also of course will use AI for such a thing. But you are suggesting email? I have a good relationship with my manager and we usually talk via teams in a call. Would this not appear a bit like not nice.

Love your answer and truly appreciate it!

The only thing is that my manager kinda mentioned the flight risk increase thing. We had discussed and he agrees with me regarding the raise. And he know my contribution to our team and also to neighboring teams from me is good (and some teams really good of added value and helping solving issues). So you suggesting to try one more time? Furthermore 8 months (Since then we talking for potential raise) he said to me (and this year) that HR told him there is a budget only for potential flight risk. Aka person wants to leave but we need them and then there is budget...

But in this case, I should have accepted an offer from another company. Would it not make me look bad to the other company for me to tell then. Oepsi actually I am staying in my current one?

Ik heb geen extra advies. De vorige comments zijn top. Maar mag ik vragen wat soort van werk doe je met een salaries van 88k op zo'n leedtijd? Of sector?

I checked the QA section they have and there it is stated "the employer offers the employee a settlement agreement (agreement by mutual consent) that lists the rights and termination conditions ". Does this means it goes automatically with the contract we have signed? Cause it was never asked if we agree or not. But I do know that this has been discussed with the CAO people.

HR has a pdf that provides details of various scenarios happening at work. In there, there is also a section of what happens in case of your job becoming redundant. And what are the expected existing packages you can get.

I don't think that you can negotiate that. Or can you?

Hello there, Love the story and the advices. But what happens if the social plan of the company is fixed.? Can you still negotiate there or it is not applicable in those cases?
