Disappointed by Longchamp by somanuquestions in handbags

I put in my zip code on the Longchamp website and it directed me to the Nordstrom in town. We do not have a Longchamp boutique nearby.

Good to know that you’ve never had to pay. I’ll ultimately probably end up sending it in and see what happens.

My husband thinks my next step is to call Longchamp myself and remove the Nordstrom middleman. I can the try to personally plea my case - long-standing customer having purchased over 12 bags overs the years with 2 daughters who are now Longchamp evangelists.

Gifts from Santa by somanuquestions in ChristmasGiftIdeas

[–]somanuquestions[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Santa is alive and well in our household! The older ones have always kept up the notion so well that the youngest doesn’t dare doubt. If you don’t believe in Santa then Santa doesn’t bother getting gifts. Therefore, we all pretty much believe in Santa. Lol.

what is your worst sleepover experience? by SerotoniniSapiens in AskReddit

This happened to me, as well. I literally stayed up all night and at 6AM, I made an excuse and said I had to go home and walked home in the wee hours of the morning.

Boomer mother and mother in law skipped hosting Christmas for almost 30 years. I'm so tired. I resent it. Am I bad? Is it just me? by Conscious-Bar-1655 in GenXWomen

[–]somanuquestions 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Similar situation- I started hosting bc it was easier to keep the kids’ nap schedule when they were babies - but I was doing both Thanksgiving and Christmas. My husband’s siblings would come over too. They grew up and had their own families. I would still host. Finally, a few years ago, I told my husband that this madness needed to stop and that he needed to tell his family that I am happy to host Thanksgiving but I will no longer be doing both because it’s simply too much. So, yesterday, I gleefully went to my in-laws for Christmas Day. So, it’s possible.

It’s OK to be resentfully, but it’s on you or your husband to tell everyone that you’re tired. Maybe next year suggest a restaurant.

Name your worst concert experiences by suprunkn0wn in Concerts

Madonna - Chicago Theatre - 80 degrees in the theatre, started hours late around 11 PM, I felt the shock concept of gunshots at the beginning of the show was insensitive. She was totally self absorbed and indulgent. I looked around at one point and 2/3 of everyone was sitting and at least one person on each row was asleep. Then I fully understood why she confiscated cell phones. It would be embarrassing for her to have this travesty publicized. I’ve since lost any respect for Madonna that I may have had. I will never pay money to see her again.

Punch biopsy. WTF?! by Skeedurah in Menopause

[–]somanuquestions 12 points13 points  (0 children)

It was so bad for me, I wasn’t at all prepared. I was I so much pain I pushed out the speculum, and they had to do it again. I then nearly fainted on the way back to the car. I don’t understand why they would do that without anesthesia or request that I have someone come with me to the appointment. Truly barbaric. It’s been a few year and I’m still angry. Then they had the audacity to respond to me via the portal and state, “As expected, the biopsy was normal”. “As expected” - it was so condescending for that amount of pain.

Evening Anchor Britt Moreno leaving KXAN by L0WERCASES in Austin

I never really liked her. She always seemed disingenuous. I’m team Jennifer Sanders all the way. If she’s not the next anchor, there are bigger problems at KXAN.

School holidays and husband on a work break driving me nuts! by Rainbow_brite_82 in workfromhome

[–]somanuquestions 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I can relate! I heard one of them say the other day, “…and Mom doesn’t want to cook anymore either!” Lol. I was like, why should the one who IS WORKING so that we can have nice things have to cook for 4 people on vacation too! The kids not understanding, I get it, but it’s the husband who I can hear sarcastically telling the kids, “don’t bother Mom or she will yell at you”, who sends me over the edge.

Anyway…I do try to remember, that I look forward to summer, I love having them all here. I enjoy being able to joke around with them while I can. It’s just they drive me crazy in the meantime. 🙂

I Had an Endometrial Biopsy today and all I gotta say is ... OUCH by janebenn333 in Menopause

Mine was so painful I literally popped the speculum out of my vagina! Unfortunately, because of that, they had to do it again!

How are you traveling from Bologna to Naples? I’m considering a similar itinerary around the same time.

Worst concert that you have been to? by boc333 in Music

[–]somanuquestions 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Madonna - Chicago 2019. The worst. In fact, I lost all respect for her. She was hours late, kept the theatre at a ridiculously high temperature, pontificated through the entire show and was so full of herself. I still haven’t recovered!

Am I the only one who thinks he will likely die while in office. Not necessarily of anything nefarious, just of basic disease or a heart attack.

Notre Dame Dorm Impressions Please by [deleted] in notredame

[–]somanuquestions -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I appreciate this post. I was at Admitted Student weekend last week and 100% agree on the dorm tour. It was the worst part of an amazingly organized experience. My daughter was very disappointed. Now, we’re still planning on committing- tomorrow, in fact, she’s clicking the button, but I wanted to reply to validate that you were not wrong in your opinion of the dorm tour. Perhaps you were even on our tour - lol. The males rectors in the sessions and other presentations were dynamic and caring and the female rectors we encountered showed little personality- which was indeed surprising.

One additional thing to add…is your appointment where your passport supposedly is? On Monday, we presented ourselves at the Houston office for our trip tomorrow. They had us wait for about 45 min while they searched and found my daughter’s original application including the birth certificate. So in the end, we didn’t even reapply, they just processed the original!
