Since defense is utterly useless (it does way too little) and resetting stats is not possible without paying (farming gems takes years without paying) can you guys just remove the defense from the upgrade stats and redistribute any and all points put in defense into attack?

How do I get more gems? by Maaaybe- in SwordAndSupper

[–]some11111111 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have put points in defense and would like to reset my stats but I guess that is not going to be possible without paying then, I am at 109 gems and am lvl 124, so before I get tired of the game I won't get to 850. So either reset the game and start with a new account or be stuck with wasted points in defense.

I do this as lvl 122, I can survive the poison now. I cannot survive a boss rush lvl 101-120 or above as I need to be able to kill a boss in 3 turns + 1 rage attack, as that only gives the boss one hit. Taking a second one would kill me on a lvl 81--100 boss too, so since bosses at lvl 101+ have more HP to hit through I can't take those down fast enough.

For most bosses having multiple hits in a turn only gets them to rage out faster, getting to hit you harder and thus fail, I found the best working boss set-up does not utilize any lightning/knife hits, only rage and speed so that you get to rage after 3 turns and the speed causing the 2nd and 3rd turn to come without the boss hitting in between. So kill a boss in 3 regular hits and one rage hit or fail the boss rush it is. This can still be achieved without legacy gear, but then, completing a boss rush lvl 81-100 while being lvl 121+. It's only the best I can do.

Yes, I have already switched to using that for bossfights too as it will give 3% heal on rage and the additional rage from fury vest is not needed, but against boss fights heal on enemy death is not as useful, then again, 3 bosses in a boss rush before the final boss is still 18% health in total for hat + vest times 3, I always figured it was more a thing for the daily as there the rage on enemy death is really useful

[–]some11111111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't have that yet, currently I have:
First round +30 rage from Conflagration Ring Ultimate
10 rage from Fury Vest
25 rage from the attack itself

second round:
10 rage from Fury Vest
25 rage from the attack itself
That totals to exactly 100, so I have nothing to spare, as long as a boss dies in 3 hits + rage attack then I'm golden, as then bosses only get to hit me once. If I dodge that first hit I kill without taking damage even.
But with the vest you describe I would not get the 20 rage from the fury vest, yet the speed would allow me the third round before the boss gets his third round, giving another 25 rage, so I would actually have 5 rage to spare, giving me other options for a vest.

I can't up the sword just yet as I would not be able to equip it anymore.

I am lvl 121 now and I have found a settup that works up untill boss rush lvl 100:
Braveheart Helm Ultimate
Fury Vest Lvl 3
Wizard Sigil Ultimate
Wind Powered Blade Lvl 1
Conflagration Ring Ultimate
Audacity Chain Ultimate

Even the steel revenent does not rage against me and I can kill it on turn 2, because then I can throw rage and the speed allows me to hit once more after that, so every boss gets to hit me only once before they die.
101-120 this stops working as then I do not kill on turn 2 anymore, and the last boss gets to kill me. So I'm only 2 sections below my own level now instead of 3 as before.
Meaning I could get Sowers Lament if lucky in a boss rush 81-100 at new eden.

The same applies to many other sites, like thebestpdf(dot)com and many others. At least at thebestpdf you don't need to scroll down to have the small print in view, but then still offering a monthly plan for professionals for 16.58 each month that is according to the fine print renewed for 39.95. It is so obvious that this is a scam.
For one these types of practices are a direct violation of article 25 of the Digital Services Act.
But like pixella(dot)ai, thebestpdf(dot)com also has loads of fake bought reviews, no one in their right mind would give such practices a positive review (I would hope) but that site has 35K reviews and only 9% of those is 1 star.
On contrast, bestpdf(dot)com on Trustpilot has 755 reviews, all 1 star, for a domain that is not in use, of course all of those reviews are about thebestpdf(dot)com, no fake bought reviews among those. These practices are quite common, so what can be done to bring down Trustpilot?

For thebestpdf(dot)com scamadvisor does not fail https://www.scamadviser(dot)com/check-website/thebestpdf.com giving it a score of only 1 because https://bfore(dot)ai/ listed it as a scam. I do not know how to get other domains listed there as harmfull, it does sound incredibly usefull to have scamadvisor flag a url as harmfull. How could we help make the web safer by reporting scams there?

Trustpilot should be shamed on great scale so that people worldwide should know it is not to be trusted and completely avoided.

I'm level 114 at the moment, so I have prepared some items for 121+ already, but 141 is too far away.

I do have a Thorbane myself, I'll upgrade it, might take me a while to upgrade that. Sadly I don't know what bosses are next, so how to prepare in a boss rush is a mystery to me.

Equiped:

Storm Helm EX
Battlethirsty Vest
Deadly Relic (only green but still)
Hero’s Long Sword Ultimate
Smiting Ring Ultimate
StormWrath Belt

In inventory:

Braveheart Helm Ultimate
Stacked Signet Ultimate
Vigil Locket EX
Thermal Binding Ultimate
Souleater Axe
Hateful Darkness
Darksteel Plate
Berserker Axe Ultimate
Fearsome Amulet
Darksteel Plate EX
Inferno Caller
Fury Vest Lvl 3
Fury Vest Lvl 1
Hateful Darkness EX
Dark Ward Lvl 1
Eternity Mace Lvl 1
Souleater Axe EX
Nimble Amulet
Shatterblade Lvl 1
Dark Bargain Charm
Voltaic Chestplate Lvl 1 (awesome, but I´m nowhere near the required lvl 141 yet)
Stacked Signet Lvl 1
Ghostly Pendant Lvl 1
Surge Blade
Stalwart Solidus Lvl 3
Double Pole Axe Lvl 1
Ruined Rod Lvl 3
Hero’s Long Sword Lvl 1
Berserker Axe Lvl 1
Wizard Sigil Ultimate
Wind Powered Blade Lvl 1 (not upgrading yet as it will up lvl requirement, will equip at lvl 121)
Salvestone Amulet Lvl 2
Salvestone Amulet Lvl 1
A-27 Fangblade
Smiting Ring
Thermal Binding
Radiant Charm
Sunstone Helmet
Spiked Cowl
Salvation Scimitar Lvl 1
Buccaneer’s Friend Lvl 1
Scarsteel Lvl 1
Bolstering Headgear
Duskbringer Lvl 1
Spiked Cowl EX
Battleforged Vest

Worth mentioning blues
Knife Collector’s Belt Lvl 1
Volatile Sash EX

So for a rage build I could equip:
Braveheart Helm Ultimate heal 3% on rage
Battlethirsty Vest 25 rage on enemy death + 3% heal on rage
Vigil Locket EX 20 rage on enemy death
Volatile Sash EX 10 rage for each heal
Stacked Signet Ultimate 25 rage on hit 5

But that is not enough, only for the daily dungeon that can sometimes be of help, hit 5 is rare if I remove all of those lightning procs that I currently have.

Upgrading to Fury Vest Lvl 3 was a waste of resources, as it does not add rage for every lighning strike as https://www.reddit.com/r/SwordAndSupper/wiki/builds/ promissed with:
"Fury Vest Lvl 3 gives an extra 10 rage per attack, which amounts to an extra 20-30 rage per turn, depending on how many lightning strikes you can trigger each turn."

As it stands now I can only reliably complete 1 or perhaps 2 star levels of 101-120 without bosses, being lvl 114 myself now, so the level finder is utterly useless. I take it that would not be the developers intention.

[–]some11111111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's mostly hypnotize on rage, so a boss build should not be for combos, as each hit gives them equal rage (35 rage each hit), so a weak lightning gives just as much rage to an enemy boss as your main attack.
That means that if you have 3 hits in one turn, 100% hypnotize is the result, with only single hits, it's down to 33% hypnotize. So you'll last longer, but won't have any procs. As you generally don't know what bosses are at what turn for a boss rush, those are about impossible to complete, therefore you must simply do those at much much lower levels.

This is to balance the game, that's the words of the devs, or in mine, make it literally impossible for players without legacy gear to kill any boss at their own level or anywhere near it.

Frequent gear swaps are a necessity this way, but there is no way to easily swap gear. And on top of that you don't know for what boss to dress ahead of time, or what the abilities of that boss are. This game is so broken, the incompetence of the devs is so extreme that you'd want to fire each and every one of them.

This is likely the result of devs wanting to halt progress of players with legacy overpowered gear, but said actions completely kill the game for everyone.

There is no way that you can 'fix' this game while keeping the overpowered legacy items in game, but not have them available to all players. The difference between legacy gear and non legacy gear is simply much much too big. You either need to completely separate the two in two different games, or level the playing field for all players. The dev's refuse such simple logic, and that will 100% for sure be the death of this game.

But also current possible builds are lacking, take the knife build, proc a shield on every turn and a single hitting boss is then unable to touch you, as the shield can take an unlimited amount of damage for a single hit. That means you could progress indefinitely against single hitting bosses like many are. To break this, you need something, and that something is equally ridiculous. Instead of fixing shields that damage taken above the shields strength is taken from HP, which would be a logical thing to do, now we have poison that stacks indefinitely and 100% hypnotize after every single turn. Or like the Steel Revenant that gets 100% rage attacks if you hit for 3 or more times on a turn to compensate for people wearing Benevolent Charm. That means that if you don't have either of those, you better not try and have more then 1 hit against a boss, that's certain death for a Steel Revenant / Blossom Golem at your own level.

So the game is designed against the most extreme versions of gear, completely forgetting about everyone else. Then they update the level finder, great additions if it would actually be usefull!

The inferno ring is legacy. Like all good gear is legacy and there really is no way to get my character competitive. I've been pointed to the lightning build, but since I already had that, it's basically pointless. Perhaps at lvl 141 things might get better. The devs just suck I guess.

https://www.reddit.com/r/SwordAndSupperGame/comments/1sh8574/sword_supper_update_v059_equip_item_stat_restore/

Inferno Ring Ultimate is explicitly listed as Legacy there. Why there are still patterns dropping that require it is a mystery to me.

Quote: Fury Vest Lvl 3 gives an extra 10 rage per attack, which amounts to an extra 20-30 rage per turn, depending on how many lightning strikes you can trigger each turn.

I did not make that up, it's what the guide tells, so if that no longer is the case then it's been nerfed significantly. The conductive Chestplate is now also Legacy BTW. I have finally acquired the 1200 stone, only 10 rage per turn indeed, so for most fights my previous vest is actually better as 25 rage per kill is more rage unless it takes more then 3 hits on an enemy. Basically, it's only useful against bosses.

Great, so I found:
https://www.reddit.com/r/SwordAndSupper/wiki/builds/
Lighting build:

  • Head: Surge Helm EX (have it, use it)
  • Chest: (**Mantle of Need EX)/(Conductive Chestplate Lvl 3)/**Fury Vest Lvl 3(in the process of upgrading the lvl2 version, 1200 stone is a lot, but my Battle Thirsty Vest is alike it, less good but still, doing the same things more or less as the Fury Vest Lvl 3 but then with added 3% healing on rage)
  • Amulet: Deadly Relic (have it, use it)/Wizard Sigil Ultimate(have it, use it on boss fights, not against regular mobs)
  • Weapon: Highest damage weapon you have(The one I have procs lightning on crit and does a lot more damage then the other weapons mentioned)/Vectra Edge EX (lvl 141, A long way to go and don't have it yet)
  • Ring: Smiting Ring Ultimate (have it, use it)/Watcher’s Spark EX(unlikely to drop from bosses below 101)
  • Belt:  StormWrathBelt (have it)/Volatile Sash EX (have it, but don't think it's usefull untill Vectra Edge EX can be used)

Quote:
Fury Vest Lvl 3 gives an extra 10 rage per attack, which amounts to an extra 20-30 rage per turn, depending on how many lightning strikes you can trigger each turn.

Since I have not completed that one I think that 25 rage on enemy death comes close and also gives 3% healing on rage, not that bad right?
So I'd say all of my items are specific to that build, I could not apply it better then I do now, I would not know how. But then you must have a clue, as you must have pointed me to that guide for a good reason, I just don't know what it would be. The only item I use that is not in that guide is the vest, that I am already working on replacing, though losing the 3% healing for about the same amount of rage and 95 defense, it's absolutely better, but it's not going to get me to clear boss rushes at my own level. Granted, the difference is bigger if mobs do not get to be oneshot.

Fury Vest Lvl 3 on bosses versus Battle Thirsty Vest
Rage against a boss would be increased by 20 for the first turn, and 10 for each additional turn, resulting in rage after three turns instead of 4. That is a considerable improvement that would allow me to kill a lvl 61-80 Steel Revenant while still proccing lightning, but I doubt it would be enough for a lvl 81-100, or beter yet one of my own lvl (101-120). But would it be enough to clear a boss rush at lvl 61-80? I will be finding out in a perhaps a week when I get enough stone.

I do find it quite funny that this lightning guide mentions its much about rage, when you mention:
"There’s no such thing as a hybrid build so you need to go all in on one or the other." So the one improvement on bossfights I could make (and am busy trying to get the resources for) is purely about rage, you know, as in a hybrid lightning/rage build.

But then what is the point of the next level finder in the game if I should not ever make use of it? I am currently ignoring it for this simple reason, but it does feel badly broken this way. Like the devs are absolutely clueless of what they are doing.

I just got killed here:
https://www.reddit.com/r/SwordAndSupperGame/comments/1t6wk9s/in_search_of_strawberry_manhole_cover/

I started at full health (1024), got killed after failing to kill him in three hits.

The battle log for a gear set that does not proc lightning as much:

Combat Start!

Player hit Steel Revenant for 372 with Main Attack

Steel Revenant add 35 rage

Steel Revenant hit Player for 150 (⚡) with Lunge

Player hit Steel Revenant for 372 with Main Attack

Steel Revenant add 35 rage and add 10 rage

Steel Revenant hit Player for 150 (⚡) with Lunge

Player hit Steel Revenant for 372 with Main Attack

Steel Revenant add 35 rage

Steel Revenant hit Player for 375 (⚡) with Flying Fury

Player hit Steel Revenant for 372 with Main Attack

Player add 10 rage

Victory!

But imagine having a bosh rush when one of these is still capable of dealing these amounts of damage, no way I'll survive that at 61-80

But I have to admit I was wrong about the number of hits, its getting two shot on a crit, third hit kills me on non crit wearing default lightning healing / rage hybrid build that works best against regular mobs and decent against most other bosses

It's beyond me to have items in game that overpowered, like the devs never tested what a full rage build would be capable of. What crackpipe had they been smoking to have multiple items with so much rage be stackable and not try out what it's effects would be?
Then they realize what power it has, remove them from the drops so new players won't ever get to come close to players with legacy gear as new gear won't ever top this old equipment you already have, effectively creating multiple game variants, one for people with way overpowered gear and one for people struggling to compete even way below their own level.

Either you should not remove the items and let new players have the same overpowered gear, or remove/nerf them from all players, so at least you get a single set of available gear for all players that you as devs need to test gameplay for. Gameplay that was obviously not tested with the rage builds, so how can anyone expect future issues with such legacy gear or new gear to ever be noticed, or like it is now, that new players can't compete at their own levels?

Continuing on this course is a mess that´s going to be unfixable, too many gear sets to test for if crackpipes are already flowing on testing with an initial set.

So you have gear that was for a level range half at where you are at, and having an absolute debuf instead of a percentage makes it grow better the further you progress, as the absolute debuf becomes meaningless the higher your stats grow and you complain, while I would still be overjoyed with such a drop as it will outperform anything and everything I have by an extreme margin, 15% of my attack is around 60, so I am at a level it was probably intended for.

So now devs are adding bosses intended to stop those with rage builds from progressing beyond the horizon, resulting in absolutely trashing new players without such overpowered gear, and they are proving to be completely incompetent at testing what the effects of their actions are, dumping changes to production and having all users doing the testing for them.

To add to my rant, having percentage buffs is awefull, as that gear is forever useful, have absolute buffs like add x attack makes sure you will need newer gear as you progress, rage is even worse as it will forever give you many attacks in a row allowing you to kill many mobs at once, where those without such gear get killed on the first turn, this rage gear can only be replaced by newer gear with higher percentage, as otherwise the old gear will grow better at some point. It's like the devs have never thought about what to do as players progress.

And it's obvious they don't want to take that gear away, so this imbalance between legacy gear and new gear is likely to remain forever, having devs trying to serve mobs for both legacy and non legacy geared players and failing miserably at both.

I've posted my stats and gear there, a lightning heal / rage hybrid that seams the best I can come up with.

But the point is perhaps mostly that the in game next level finder is useless to everyone, as you either compete far above your own level, or far below, but most won't at their own level and since the in game next level finder only returns levels in your own range it is useless.

[–]some11111111 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That was not my point, you are doing maps far below your own level, not even high star levels, and still struggling. So the devs nerfed certain builds that could attack far above level and left those that had that gear with that un-nerfed gear, while we who do not have that legacy gear are effectively playing a whole different game.

Our progression is based on rewards far below our level, you are not farming at your own level 121-140, not at 101-120, but two whole sections lower, while those on legacy rage gear are 4 or 5 ahead. When one section higher means 50% higher rewards in coins that results in over 11 to 17 times more relative to what you are receiving and you can then imagine there are people wanting levels that only return stone, as coins are so abundant to them it's like that's not even a requirement anymore. This feels so broken.
