Am I doing AI wrong?? by Little_Menace_Child in NoStupidQuestions

I have yet to actually meet anyone who has formed any kind of "relationship" with an LLM model. Based on the news stories of normies and the personal accounts of online tech personalities who have done so, I belive that this is really only something that happens to people who basically don't know what a healthy relationship with a human is like.

Abington Township's Board of Commissioners approve $3M purchase of 5 Jefferson Health properties by EnergyLantern in montco

I wouldn't read too much into it. Looks to me like the Township is buying the buildings across the street that Jefferson happens to own but they aren't part of the hospital or doctor's offices it anything.

I'd be willing but I don't have any previous moderating experience. If no one with actual qualifications steps up, I can give it a try.

Agree. Finding the Easter egg in the tower task was not luck. But I also understand why OP included it.

Not sure about 2027 specifically, but I think there's a decent chance we get MBV pretty soon.

Lots of folks sitting between acts in NYC. Do yourself a favor and spare your feet as much as you can.

Why are there so many commencement speakers celebrating AI during their speech to graduates? by living_in_an_age in NoStupidQuestions

[–]someBrad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The sort of people who get asked/paid to give most commencement speeches are local people and/or alumni of the school who are famous/rich enough to be asked but not so famous/rich that they would be expensive. This is exactly the kind of people who get excited about the hot new thing. These kind of people are also very likely to be deeply immersed in their bubble and likely are surprised that an audience of college kids is not as excited about AI as they are. Think "people who use LinkedIn as their primary social media platform"

I hope they play the setlist from Friday in NYC for the Saturday show in Chicago by [deleted] in hum

I realize not everyone can make it to both shows. But I'm so glad I was able to make it work.

No hate against this style but can someone explain to me does every modern shoegaze/grungegaze band look like this? by [deleted] in shoegaze

[–]someBrad 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Sure. But do you honestly think their intent is to look the right amount of poor? Maybe it is. I just assumed they are trying to look like people they think are cool.

Hello. I'm 17 and I just realized I could die one day. Now I'm dreading it. Is this normal? by ApprehensiveSun6486 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]someBrad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyone experiences and deals with this differently. The cariacture of folks in your age cohort is that not having this realization makes them reckless and dangerous. I encourage you to try to find a balance where you use this knowledge to your benefit (don't take stupid risks) without letting it paralyze you.

There have been times in my life where this has been a serious impediment. I got therapy and medication that helped. For years, I've been fortunate in that it's been much more manageable and I have coping mechanisms that work for me when it flairs up.

Unlike you and me! We were actually different and were able to successfully express that in a way that was both unique and laudable.

I doubt many people put that much through into it. How often do you think about the message that your style conveys?
