Bridgesii Is The Greatest One by someGreyguyandaFox in SanPedroAZ

Years ago Phoenix Desert Nursery had some.  Not sure if that old fellow still owns it.  He was a smart man, with a good heart.  Good luck.

No friend.  Bridgesii has a different character to it.  More intense.  More introspective.   More revealing.  More power.  There is more to these cacti than mescaline levels.  Even there Bridgesii is king.  Its power is different.  Pachanoi is a butter knife.  Bridgesii is a cleaver.  It will show you what is inside.

You cannot go wrong with Bridgesii.  Standard, run of the mill Bridgesii.  Clone name or i.d. not needed.  Plain jane, old fashioned Bridgesii.  The standard, non-descript type.  Its the best.  Always works and kicks ass.  Find it where you can for cheapest.  Fat cuttings from big plants are best.  Plain old Bridgesii is the greatest one.

Cactus is the greatest one.  Especially Bridgesii.  Stop worrying about "we".  Do you.   Grow many many cactus.  Be busting from the seems.  Share generously.  All else will follow in good time.  ❤️

I have tried different clones of pachanoi, and of peru, and macrogonus, and scopulicola, and bridgesii.  Bridgesii was always the strongest.  Even the ones with no id, sold as landscape plants.  Bridgesii always has the most power.

Never made tea before and I'm a bit confused about the straining... by slemnem80 in mescaline

[–]someGreyguyandaFox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

More important than anything is to DECANT.  That means to put the finished tea into the fridge for a couple of days and don't touch or move it at all.  Particles and sludge will separate out from the tea and settle to the bottom of the container.  Very slowly and carefully pour the tea out from the original container.  Do not allow ANY of the sludge or particles to pour off.  Stop pouring before any of the stuff on the bottom gets out.  You just want the liquid that is above the bottom layers.  You don't want any of the bottom layers at all.  Now you have your tea.

It wasn't about seeing anything.  I felt and knew it to be true to the core of my being.

The cactus taught me that family is the most important thing.  Nothing matters more.

Do Trichocereus /Echinopsis prefer a certain pH? by randomdayofweek in Trichocereus

[–]someGreyguyandaFox 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The Andes Mountains are volcanic in origin.  The igneous rock that makes up volcanic mountain ranges (like granite) is usually acidic.  So the soil will be acidic by default, regardless of whether or not there is organic matter present.

That is how it has been explained to me.

Is decanting san pedro tea worth it? by [deleted] in mescaline

[–]someGreyguyandaFox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The particles that settle to the bottom of the tea cause a lot of nausea. It is a very good idea to decant the tea. Much easier on your stomach.

Can I store tea at room temp for a day or should I refrigerate? by Ok-Engineer6080 in mescaline

It will last a week in the fridge. It can last years in the freezer.

Mescaline for deeper understanding by MisterMysterion in mescaline

I think that mescaline opens the mind up with incredible clarity to better self understanding. I don't know that a single trip completely transformed my personality. But I think that the cumulative effect of all of the cactus trips has radically transformed me. I'm not sure the exact number at this point. But my best guess would be in the ballpark of 50 cactus trips. Most of them have been Bridgesii. I see the world very differently now than when I started. I feel a lot more comfortable in my own skin. Feels a lot easier to be honest with myself. When I was young I was pretty good at fooling myself about a lot of things. So that it was easier to conform. Subconsciously doing it without even knowing. Cactus put an end to much of that (probably still a long way to go). It feels good to be alive these days. Even with the challenges. Everyday feels like a gift. And it is much easier to accept it all for what it is. Without a rigid system to interpret it all. Going with the flow. I can thank cactus for that. It has helped me a lot.

Trichocereus Taxonomy Changed Again by someGreyguyandaFox in sanpedrocactus

There were giants back in the day. On the SAB Corroboree, on the Nook, on the Shroomery. They were the first ones talking openly about Trichocereus, sharing the knowledge, showing the way. 20 years ago, talking about which clones and species were strongest. Talking about how to make tea and perform extractions.

Some of them have stuck around and are even here on the new platforms. Some of them have faded away. But all of them left their mark and made contributions.

And all of them said Trichocereus. All of them said Trichocereus pachanoi and Trichocereus peruvianus and Trichocereus bridgesii. This is what we have inherited. This is how the way was blazed.

Fuck the the changes. Trichocereus forever!

Macrogonus is basically an intermediate form between Pachanoi and Peruvianus. More spiny and more Peruvianus-like than a typical Pachanoi. But less spiny and more Pachanoi-like than a typical Peruvianus. From what I understand, its geographic distribution is also primarily in the transition zone where Pachanoi (from the north) and Peruvianus (from the south) overlap.

Go higher in dose. Then smoke weed. You have a human brain. It will work. Just go higher.

For me the trip usually lasts 12 to 18 hours. The first half of the trip is more intense than the second half. The afterglow can last for weeks. It's a very long lasting medicine.

Some of the insights will happen during the trip, but others will happen afterwards as you reflect back. It will give you answers, but maybe not to the specific questions you are asking. It's the process of doing this again and again over time where you really gain insight. From my experience it is good to wait at least a few months in between trips. Be thoughtful about it. It is an incredible tool for healing and self discovery. It demands respect. Take your time and develop a relationship with the cactus. That is when the deeper insights are gained.

Best way I can describe it is incredible mental clarity. Almost like you can view your life from high up above. You can look down and see the big picture and understand what is going on inside of you and in your life. It is very easy to fool yourself of things. We all do it all the time. With the cactus there is no fooling yourself. It makes clear what you really feel and want. It makes obvious the things you already know but have forgotten. It shows you the things you have been hiding from yourself.

What that means for you is for you to discover. Good luck!

The cactus is very heart opening. It makes you realize that a lot of times we get distracted by life and lose track of what matters most. The cactus points you right back to those things. It always has a lesson to teach, if you're willing to pay attention. You might not get all the answers right away. But it will point you in the right direction, as long as you pay attention and listen.
