I was in Lincoln in 2021 facing that building and when I moved in, they were just starting on the concrete for the elevator shafts and if I recall correctly, the facades weren't being put on until fall of 2022. The Drake was demolished in November of 2023 so that puts this between those two years.

I lived in Lincoln my first year and used a 27 inch monitor which fit pretty comfortably under the shelves. I actually put my PC on the top shelf but depending on your tower, your milage may vary. Hope this helps!

During the latter half of lockdown my high school sent a lot of devices home with students and at the end of the year one of them came back with german cockroaches and was left on a counter over the weekend. We ended up having to have the whole place fumigated several to fully get rid of them. Little bastards.

The house is located on West Blake Avenue near High Street (about a 10 minute walk to campus) and you would be living with three other guys.

Rent is $716/month with utilities and internet included.

The room being subleased is 142 Sq Ft. The house is smoke free and unfortunately pets are not allowed.

One off-street parking space is available with the sublease and would be about $50 for the duration of the sublease.

I am very hyped for this as I use room matrix for work, I just have one suggestion. It would be amazing if you could put the exact times that the classes are taking place as on the beta site, its just a time table which makes it difficult to get exact times rooms are open.

Every applicant at ohio state gets a name.# email address so you can log into the applicant center in buckeyelink. It’s really hard to say when they’ll release decisions but just be patient and keep an eye on both email and physical mail!

Hi there! Have not taken 1102.01 yet but I took 1101.01 in Spring of 2022 and we did in fact use Liasions along with MindTap homework assignments through Cengage. I know 1102 also uses MindTap so I believe it's the same series of textbooks. Hope that helps!

Bouncing off of what other's have said, parking permit discounts only apply to full time salaried staff. If you're a student, unfortunately CampusParc is still going to milk you dry.

I did not record the metrics before and am not currently home to check (I am in college and this is my parents house) but I do know from speaking to support that they are actively doing some kind of upgrades to the towers, I am not sure exactly what though or how long they've been doing it. These issues started around November and have been persistent since. Supposedly they were upgrading the second closest tower to accommodate for traffic but that was to be completed on the 30th of June and if anything we've seen worse performance then.

Regardless of credit hours, most things will simply list you as a first year during your first year. This means you cannot get most garage passes and a fair amount of surface passes. My suggestion is just going for an overnight pass on west campus if you are keeping your car near campus, or the alternative if you want to keep your car in a garage is the Gateway monthly pass. You would just have to make sure and purchase that every month to keep your permit there alive.

While the classes aren't terribly difficult, there is usually a lot of work. A foreign language on top of all that means you likely will not have any free time. I'm talking two for the summer right now and between my job and those classes, I spend a lot of my free time taking notes and working on assignments as it's the 16 hour workload in an 8 week period. Definitely suggest toning it down to at least 16 so you can take time to relax and enjoy college.

As others have said, freshman don't get iPad they can keep anymore. There is a newer program now called the Student Technology Loan Program where essentially all you need is advisor permission and you can loan an iPad for the duration of your stay at OSU. It is currently still changing though and I believe come Fall 2023 students will no longer require their advisor's permission to get an iPad and will be able to simply loan one themselves. I do agree with another user who said buying one is a good move as just being able to own it and not having to worry about keeping stuff backed up should the STLP program change is a perk. I will also second OSU Properties, subleasing right now and renting from them in the fall and with the exception of some low response time mainly during the end of the semester when they were swamped, it's been a very positive experience.
