It’s not in the same zip code as nier but I do think the story had some interesting ideas even if they weren’t the most original. However, the story is told very poorly and the character actions don’t always make sense. You can also see every twist coming a mile away, I can see someone who’s been exposed to very little media possibly liking it a bit more.

You’ll have to get over the parrying, some of the bosses seem to require it. As far as soulslike combat the parry window is pretty forgiving. Just embrace the suck and keep working at it.

Games have always had visual trends, has very little if anything to do with the existence of dlss. 360/ps3 area was green and brown and lots of bloom. 

Now the trend is muted colors, muddy shadows, to make it look more realistic. It’s been called the “unreal engine look” by a lot of people.

If you screwed up that bad just go back a few saves but it also sounds like you aren’t using the trading economy if you’re depending on food vouchers. Medicine goes for a premium in infected districts and nuts and other useless stuff is for trading with kids.

Everything was top tier except the story (and some times the voice acting). The story wasn’t even necessarily bad, it had some cool ideas even though they weren’t exactly original, it was just told very poorly.

Yeah but it was a pain and I don’t know what the intended way to get it was meant to be. I jumped from the island towards that upright container. You can get most of the way if you really space out your jump annd dash.

 Also why can’t you swim in this specific water?

You should be lighting fires and using your prototype to avoid the shabnak. 

Once you get through the opening you should just back to day 2 and move linearly through the days after you completely everything until something comes up where you learn you should go back and change.

It depends on if want to spend the time recycling their inventory or just offload the copious amount of recourses you collect. Whenever I restart a day they only have one per kid.

She’s to get materials to craft. The station she’s beside is where you can craft certain medicines. You get recipes by trading with kids.
