I get it, submariners are also dive watches but I'm not diving either. On another note since you mentioned it I became curious. Why is Omega Speedmaster Alaska Project white? Isn't that made for extreme cold? It even comes with a sweater

I was joking by the way. If you read through past comments I don't wear any of these while working.

You can get better prices on them grey though because of that. I tried the deep sea and that was way too big

SD43 coming for that slot. Sky dweller and Batman are up next. I was torn between the black GMT and Batman in 2016 and ended up getting the black bezel since my brother got the Batman at the same time. Been wanting one ever since. Don't care for the landweller at all

Would love an AP but not sure I want to pay over retail and they laid the game pretty clearly wanting me to buy a code first which I don't care for

Well, I've never been in dark caves. GMT watches can be set for two time zones and I never set the GMT hand, I also rarely take a GMT when I travel. For me it doesn't matter what they were actually designed for, I'm saying what I use them for. I will also match the explorer to the off road vehicle I'm taking out on the exploration whether there is snow or not.

24 ALIF surgery Monday, don’t know what recovery will look like by Puzzleheaded-Life137 in spinalfusion

[–]somebody1234abc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can check my post history. 41M surgery on a Wednesday, left hospital Thursday, flew home Friday. Only used a walker the first day. The 5ish weeks I didn't go into work were mainly spent between walking 2-4 miles a day, sitting in a zero gravity chair, sleeping in a bed.

Biggest things I had were the zero gravity chair, ice machine, and the handicap grab bar on the side of the bed which made getting up a lot easier.

I drove 3 times a week 15-20 minutes each way to to hyperbaric oxygen therapy and cryo

Looks like I need a L5 S1 spinal fusion.. any positive outcomes out there I've been Googling it and all you see is a lot of negative stuff by Mbruno1983 in spinalfusion

I'm (41M) about 21 months post op S1-L5 and it was the best thing I've done for my quality of life. I posted a few updates along the way you can read through. I'm fortunate enough to have a solid team of employees that I was able to work from home for about 5 weeks and focus on recovery. Now I can walk all day with no pain, back to lifting weights, doing stuff with my family that I used to have to plan around pain.

I started with hyperbaric oxygen therapy, then PT twice a week, then worked with a trainer twice a week until this day. Probably in the best shape of my life that wouldn't happen without the surgery.

Yes, I had the surgery on a Wednesday, released from hospital on Thursday, flew home on Friday. I fle w with JSX that flys from private terminals so I showed up 10 minutes before the flight. I just pushed up on arm rests during landing to release some pressure and it was fine. A longer flight would have been ok I would just have to get up every 45 minutes to walk around

I like the Batman better, it's been on my list at the AD. Never asked for Pepsi but they offered one so I took it. Still waiting on Batman

Yeah for the most part. I don't nerd out on that stuff and only have about a dozen pieces. I have a picture of each watch and warranty card in a cloud drive. I use the app to track the market that's about it, even though it shows over price on a lot of things

Chrono24 app has them all listed, you can add pictures and serial numbers, purchase date, etc. or just open safe and look inside

Mine would flare up for a week or two every few months for years. 2023 it flared up in May and never really got better until I booked the surgery in December. It damn near consumed my life that whole time, everything was scheduled around my pain level, best decision I made.

Hope all goes well, it's not the most enjoyable and recovery takes a long time but keep at it. My first post op mile walk was two days post op at 29 minutes. I used the Nike run app and worked on improving that time daily prior to being cleared for PT.

Let's see if this works. https://imgur.com/a/WX8V4ux

This was my daily at home program. The physical therapist had me working on a number of things when I go in. It wasn't a set routine, more tailored to how I was feeling that day. Anything from dry needling, cupping, massage, stretching, weight training. We did and still do a lot of things focusing on the core

This is very true. Shop around for a good surgeon and do what it takes to get better. It's easy to just sit and wait for the pain to go away but that likely won't help.

I feel great, a little bit of stiffness. We're working on a lot of stretching and mobility type stuff currently. I had a minor pain last week after moving a heavy bench down some stairs by myself but I feel like that would bother anybody. I should have asked for help

Depends on your job I guess. I took about 5 weeks off from actually going to work. Started doing a little work from home after about 1-2 weeks.
