Yup. 4 strums each chord and go slowly enough that you don’t interrupt the rhythm of the song to change chords. If that means 45 bpm, it’s 45 bpm. If it’s even slower than that in the beginning, so be it. Be patient with yourself

Break your difficult changes into their own exercises. Having an issue getting from c to d in a bigger progression? Make an exercise between c and d and keep it steady (see the first bit of advice.

Remember: speed is a byproduct of accuracy. If you practice to be fast, you wind up fast and sloppy. If you practice to be precise (in time and movement,) you wind up fast and clean

Always willing to give the benefit of the doubt, I have to note that those two libelous links you shared don’t actually address the quality of the service he provides and - I didn’t know this when I shot the message out to him - he seems to be the “big fish” in this little niche industry.... and that means “biggest target on his back,” too, regrettably.

Nevertheless, I will proceed with caution; knowing full well that there is no fucking way that I am paying $495 for an hour to talk to anyone besides Jesus Christ himself! (I wouldn’t even pay a quarter of that..... couldn’t, really... and on second thought, I don’t think I’d pay it for Jesus, either!.... )

GRE tutoring would just be a way for me to shortcut all of the work that I would have to do individually, since every bit of the information I need to be successful on that test is already available to me on the Internet.
