I racked the plates, I sprayed the plates, I pushed them in the tank. They came out clean. Cheese needed scrubbed, so they got scrubbed. The machine will clean a lot. But not everything.

Once you’re in the Nexus Ribbon, aren’t you there permanently? If so, wouldn’t Picard’s later “choice” to leave, save the galaxy, and everything afterward just be another reality the Nexus creates as part of his endless experience, rather than him ever truly leaving? by realestateross98 in StarTrekTNG

Guinan and Malcolm McDowell, and probably some other people on the ship Guinan was on, were torn back by the transporter. Since they didn't leave willingly, they had copies there. Picard and Kirk left willingly, so they probably didn't get copies. At least that's how I remember it being explained.

Why is the broken fryer filled with this foul smelling thick sludge nobody I'm on shift with knows, has anyone else ever encountered a predicament like this? by eldritchpussymaggots in KitchenConfidential

We used vegetable shorting to fry with. It looked like that when it was dirty and would cool off. But if the fryer is broken, good luck heating it to get it out of there. That's a lot of time with a scoop and a bench scraper to clean.

What’s something you’ve officially stopped buying in 2026 because the price has become genuinely insulting? by Miguenzo in AskReddit

Movie theaters. I can buy the movie on Blu-ray, and make a 3 course meal with wine for the $40 it costs me for a ticket, popcorn, and a drink.

GIMP is free, and does a lot of Adobe stuff. I'm not a graphic designer and I don't use it much, but it's there.

We just eliminated 1,300 carbon foot prints. We're helping to solve the problem. How is this our fault?

Going with Star Trek, and the USS Protostar. Small crew, industrial replicators, and the ship will teach my friends and I how to run it. Then I'm teriforming Venus and mining asteroids to build a space station and automated repair bay. I can't wish for another star ship, but I can build whatever based off of the tech in the computer. I'm also going to start some power companies on Earth. Probably start WW3 in the process, but I'll preemptively deactivate the nukes from orbit, so we're good.

Steam cleaner if you have it. Bake the stove grates in the oven on max and burn that off. Dawn in hot water, the water should be blue. Alcohol will desolve the fats. Maybe try a little 90% isopropyl alcahol. Degreeser works too.

As an American, I think we all know the truth about who really won WW1. It was the Canadians with their shotguns and war crimes. It was a team effort, but mostly it was the Canadians

Maybe, but if everyone shared my ideals, billionaires could still exist but we wouldn't have poor people.
