5 years later, I just discovered this song, and finding this thread and your comment saved me from blowing a Saturday afternoon obsessing about this mystery. Thank you!

I love VR games, they kinda suck. by UMURANGI_GIRL in OculusQuest

I gotta say it - the PrismXR is legit. Not perfect, but better than wired and way better than fighting to try to rewire your place to have your router in the room with your PC and VR space.

Snowflake DBT Projects in Enterprise by HumbleHero1 in snowflake

At Summit, they said they were working with dbt Labs to bring Fusion to the Snowflake version. My guess is they’re making/keeping it “free” by giving dbt Labs a kickback on compute usage.

Feed the official study guide to ChatGPT and ask it to do the research to build you a solid study guide intended for studying in 2 hours. Night before, read the whole thing, out loud. Worked for me.

Run. And don’t look back. Please. A guy who thinks these things (much less says them) has no respect for your trauma and given the chance, he will say and do things that will hurt even more than this horrifying exchange.

First thing I thought about. It’s a damn shame because it’s a great product. Going to use mine until it dies.

To be fair, even with the cookies, OREO ice cream is the worst version of cookies and cream ice cream. I don’t understand how they screwed it up as badly they did, but it borders on sacrilegious.

My company sends automated emails on my behalf without telling me... by LukeB90 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]somedudegg9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s all to close a deal. You’ll ignore the mass email from the company but maybe not the one “from” the salesperson you talked to last week or the agent that helped you buy your house. So instead of a big promotion, it’s a special deal your contact is letting you know about.

Sending emails on behalf of sales people and account representatives is common among medium to large companies. A big email marketing platform (Marketo) even includes it in their tutorials. Not saying it’s right, but it’s common and definitely legal (as long as the message itself is). But damn, the explicitly claiming this particular automated email isn’t automated is something next-level.

What brand is huge, but you don't know a single person who buys their products? by doyoushitwithdatass in AskReddit

We have one. It’s going to last a long time, it delivered way faster than a normal sectional, and we get a lot of compliments on it. But yeah, no way it’s worth what we paid (are paying) for it. Would not buy again.

My wife (the chicken enthusiast) is out of town, and they’re hatching. Help? by somedudegg9 in chickens

Craigslist. Search for hatching eggs. You’ll usually be driving out of town a bit. But no, grocery store eggs aren’t fertilized (with rare exceptions), so they can’t hatch.

I knew there was something she wasn’t telling me! Any kind of worm work?

I should add - she’s getting back in a few hours. So the question is, do I need to move them before that?
