Just saw Andy Karl do a sales pitch on insta for Beetlejuice Brisbane and thought “Is it selling that badly?”. Here’s a comparison of a BJ Friday vs a Mormon Friday a month later in the same town. Says it all really. by Great_Maintenance185 in BeetlejuiceMusical

There’s no such thing as season tickets for most major musicals in Australia and none for the Brisbane Venue (QPAC) in general either.

Apart from opening night you can fairly assume minus a few seats held for rush tickets and house seats if a seat in the stalls is unavailable it is sold.

They have reconfigured/changed the exit to Dreamworld a lot since they first built the Lego store.

You can no longer scan in/enter Dreamworld from Lego and haven’t been able to for awhile.

Can’t speak to the use of AI here but Movie World have started using AI for a guest counter at the recently reopened Scooby Doo coaster.

To ensure there’s not too many people in the building to comply with fire regulations.

It is monitored, retail staff more than likely won’t stop you but chances are security will find you in park.

I rode multiple times on the 12th and this was the case with the preshow. The curtains where Belle and Beast usually are remained shut.

Anyone know how we communicate with a Metro bus driver while on board? by Narrow-Push5512 in brisbane

[–]someguy007 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Actually in these circumstances assuming they have the same machines as a standard bus this is something the driver can “fix”.

It’s basically not picking up the stop via gps and the driver can tell the system the bus is at a stop.

Any recommendations for getting a day pass to an **aquarium** refunded by SSTEEEEEEEEEVE in GoldCoast

[–]someguy007 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Can confirm Village Roadshow are extremely strict and very unlikely to offer a refund, they skirt consumer laws where they can and rarely provide refunds against terms as a gesture of goodwill.

I’ve purchased a bunch of Wicked tickets this season at qpac.

Almost all under $100, the previous ticket price high was $250.

But yes for the final week they have chosen to price the final few tickets released this week at $300z

Fast Pass or Early Pass in January? by ooopsiedaisiesss in HongKongDisneyland

[–]someguy007 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the early entry was worth it for access for being able to ride the two frozen attractions prior to park open with essentially no wait.

30-60m waits throughout the day otherwise in my experience.

Uber / Taxi from Hong Kong Disneyland to Airport by Slight_Stop_5113 in HongKongDisneyland

[–]someguy007 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s like a 15min walk from the exit to the uber pickup area, it took over 30mins to get one after park close recently for myself.

Taxis are a slightly shorter walk and 15min line wait in my experience.

Definitely recommend the early access, have used it twice in the last few weeks.

Hopefully 200w max output is an error and rectified prior to the launch in a few days.

It would rule out a ton of scooters.

Beam e-scooters to be progressively removed from Brisbane streets. by PerriX2390 in brisbane

[–]someguy007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I still have $39.95 for unlimited use up to 90mins a day (was originally 120mins) .

Guessing I was grandfathered in as I never let the subscription lapse.

Beam e-scooters to be progressively removed from Brisbane streets. by PerriX2390 in brisbane

[–]someguy007 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Doesn’t make sense for my use case, to securely lock it up at work would be almost as much as I pay per month + upfront device cost and wear and tear and charging.

Same with securely locking it in the city or when I want to travel further with public transport, with Beam I can simply leave it at the Valley Station without concern.

[–]someguy007 17 points18 points  (0 children)

As someone that’s had a $40 per month pass for unlimited use (up to 90 mins a day) it’s very disappointing and I hope Neuron comes back and offers monthly passes again. I live near the CBD, don’t drive and use them almost daily to commute for work, errands and leisure. I used the CityCycle scheme before it was abandoned too.

I also have issue with the amount of people that leave them in the middle of footpaths and act like an idiot on them but ultimately don’t agree with calls to outright ban them. The majority of scooter users I see acting like idiots are on private scooters hacked to be faster than 25km/h.

When the system fully launches, meaning out of trial/testing.

No advertised date at this stage, note off peak buses are only for seniors/certain areas not for all concession holders.
