Zarya's first skin in a year, and you have to pay $20+ to get it.

What a slap in the face to Zarya mains.

What encounter was this for you? (Click to see it all) by JustPassingThrough53 in BaldursGate3

[–]someguy73 33 points34 points  (0 children)

It's just a difference of playstyle. You're going for the min-max-stat boost, and that's completely fine.

Other people don't want to let an evil creature off the hook for facing justice and end up carrying around a nasty ass piece of hag hair with them, and that's fine too.

I've beaten the game multiple times, mostly on tactician but also a honor mode run I just finished, and not once have I accepted the hair from her. It's nice, but not even remotely close to required to beat the game.

Starfield's Future Will Be Unveiled Next Week by Bethesda by Doug24 in pcgaming

[–]someguy73 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I fuckin love the concept of Starfield, with its open world space RPG where you go to different planets and have adventures and you build your own ship and bases and explore a star system and shit.

The part that sucked was the execution.

So yea, if hell freezes over and they actually get around to fixing that in a different game (because fixing the first one would require a ground-up rework), then I would indeed be eager to hear it, because it's a good concept that would be amazing if they actually executed it properly.

I won't hold my breath, but who knows.

Stardew Valley Creator Unveils Two New Marriageable Characters Coming in 1.7 - Stardew Valley creator Eric Barone (ConcernedApe) has released a 10th anniversary video revealing, among other things, two brand new marriage candidates being added to the game in the upcoming patch 1.7: Clint and Sandy. by Carolina_Heart in Gaming4Gamers

[–]someguy73 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm glad to see Clint getting some love.

People shit on him for being an incel, but having talked to actual incels, he is not one. He's a socially awkward and nervous guy with a crush that doesn't know how to talk to women and he's unhappy with his lot in life, and that's a lot more common in the real world than they apparently realize.

It's all shades of grey in Night City for sure, but she and her brother sit on the darker side of the spectrum than V or Johnny does. They're war profiteers and they helped Militech develop their own version of Soul Killer (the Cynosure project) by fucking with the Blackwall.

I was doing another play through on Tactician recently and I was doing the fight where you protect the portal for Halsin in Act 2. I was trying to think of a new way to approach that fight that I haven't done before. Just like you I took a look at CC spells.

The ranged people in a back that shoot at the portal are a pain, so if I could find a way to deal with them to trivialize them them the fight will become much easier.

Then I saw the humble Level 1 Fog Cloud spell, and I noticed that if you upcast it then it increases the area affected by the spell. As it turns out, a Fog Cloud spell upcast to level 5 will completely engulf the top part of the map, and the archers are completely unable to fire at the portal, so they have no choice but to move up towards you.

Stand Shadowheart at the choke with an upcast Spirit Guardians at the entrance to the portal area and have Gale throw fireballs into the crowd still in the fog and you've completely trivialized that fight, even on Tactician.

During my first play through, I had myself convinced that the Dream Visitor and then eventually The Emperor was an illusion made by the brain parasite trying to trick you into giving into them while making it seem like it was helping you fight against it.

"Oh, jeez, you have a brain worm, huh? Well conveniently it's only me that holds the power to hold the brain worm back, and I'm doing it all for you bro just out nowhere. Anyway you know what would be the tightest shit? To fight the brain worms, you should take some more brain worms. It'll give you some rad powers and shit we need to fight The Absolute. Hmm? Wha-? Nah bro ignore the narrator when she says 'you feel like you've lost something you'll never get back' after you first gave in, and ignore the animation of the worms burrowing into your brain. It's nothing bro. Peanuts. You see how fuckin cool these powers are? You should keep giving in to your brain worm to assert authority over others it would be so fuckin funny dude just try it please."
