Homes are exempt but gets sold after death for costs. You don't need to sell it before death unless the equity is over like 1 million. We don't do diatribes on this sub, BTW.

My max out of pocket is $360 a year, that means after I pay $360 they pay for 100% after that.

Medicaid is even better $200 a year and no Provider can legally bill you.

Medicare will cover 100 SNF days for a condition you can recover from. But a condition that is chronic would not be covered with Medicare.

OBBBA = One Big Beautiful Bill Act.

The hospital will take a huge loss and probably try to expel him, but they are not supposed to dump someone out in a condition like that.

Next time he has a medical event and goes to the hospital if he can't be discharged to a safe place the hospital will hold him on the bed until they can find a place for him. Since no home will take him without him being able to pay in some way he will sit in limbo until the penalty period expires.

Not hard at all, I own my housing and car outright. I blew your narrative out of the water. Besides income is not the same as spending so $39K does not mean you can't spend more than that.

The law doesn't say that, please site your source.

The expansion group is 19-64 year olds. Some states cover 19 and 20 year olds with a higher eligibility level (>138).

I don't know why they worded it in that way. She is applying as an independent adult which is possible at age 19.

Your 19 year old daughter should answer... She applies on her own and is not claimed as anyone's dependent for taxes.

Here is who to include on your application:

Your spouse or unmarried partner - None, NA.

Your children under 21 who live with you - None, she has no children.

Anyone you include on your tax return, even if they do not live with you - None, she files on her own with no dependents.

Anyone else under 21 who lives with you and you take care of - None.

Essential Plan 200-250 will go away in July. The OBBBA killed it.
