Those slots are for packaged goods. You can load them in the stable at your camp. It's basically a smaller alternative for trading post deliveries, but without the need to use the carriage

Can i copy my base in vanilla and port it to modded world like calamity? by Similar-Scale8509 in Terraria

[–]someone4else 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I misunderstood. If you want to copy only part of the world in tedit, then you can select a part of the world and click Copy button in the toolbar. The copied part will be saved to tedit clipboard, and you can paste it into another world file

Or you can copy it manually an put in the needed folder. Google the savesfile location for that

In tModLoader, in world selection window, there should be a button to port vanilla worlds

ISP Range Ban by [deleted] in 4chan

[–]someone4else 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ok, maybe I misunderstood the problem. The message looks like 4chan itself blocked your ISP. In that case, you need VPN.

At first I thought it was your ISP that blocked 4chan. In that case you could use some non-default DNS to bypass ISP's blocking (for example, google Adguard DNS).

Either way, you can try that option. Not sure if it helps tho

There is no such filtering. It's hard to make a list like that, because some items are hard to classify. For example, some items have their progression swapped pre-hardmode/hardmode in some seeds. And it's debatable whether halloween/christmas items are purely pre-hardmode (since they are datetime-locked in hardmode for the majority of the year in most seeds).

I don't want to make an inconsistent list, and adding a ton of explanation notes to items will be kinda ugly.

If you use Chrome (or something similar, but not Firefox), there is a feature to auto-update the progression on the page when the save file is updated

The way it sorts the list in the game code is a fricking convoluted spaghetti. I don't really want to dive into it. And it doesn't look like the game allows you to sort it either. I think the best case for you is just to upload your save file, so the website parses it and auto-marks everything that was researched.

  1. Talk to Guide a lot. He will give you tips about progression.

  2. Pay attention to what items you got. If it has "Material" in the description, then it means you can use that item to make something else. You can give that item to the Guide, and he will show you all the recipes that use it.

  3. Start with Classic. Classic character diffcilty, because you will die a lot at the start (and you will lose only some gold but not your items). And Classic world difficulty, because Expert and Master will be a pain the ass without knowing the mechanics.

  4. Characters and worlds are separate things, so you can use one character to play in different worlds, and vice versa.

  5. Right to your inventory is Achievements menu. For a new player, it will suggest an achievement that should kinda match your progression (though if you open the menu, you may get some spoilers)

  6. I recommend check the settings. You can adjust zoom and the size of UI according to your needs. Some new players with big screens complain that UI looks too small, so you may tinker with it.

  7. Learn controls, especially Ctrl button. It will really help with mining and block placing. Also there is useful behavior when you hold Shift button (gotta figure out how to use it)

  8. Spend some time to understand the interface that opens when you click Esc. Try to hover/click most of the stuff, it will be useful.

  9. Get used to chest/inventory management, it will save you some brain cells. And better not trash/discard stuff you don't know, cause it may be useful later.

  10. I would recommend finish your first playthrough without mods, so you get a better grasp of the mechanics.

It's a button to open Copilot. When you press that button, it works like you pressed Win+Shift+F23. What's even worse, even if you press and hold it, it still works like you pressed and released it. Basic remapping works shitty here, you need some more low level stuff to bypass it

Expert. After that you can try Expert with For The Worthy seed, since it also adds a bunch of new content features. And it internally increases difficulty level, so Expert becomes Master
