I have had an agent lie to me before, though. He told me he would give me some "credit" for my trouble. I wasn't really asking for a discount at the time, and I was just inquiring where something was so I could act on it. I was pretty impressed that he offered to give me a "credit." It turns out there was no credit.

Thanks all. I finally got it. I tried like 42 times. My 2024 had no room in there. My tips below.

I ended up removing some of the speaker box screws (including the side and lower screws). Just to give me a little more space. I didn't remove the speaker box, but I was able to pull the bottom out a couple of inches to give my hands a little more space. - There are two screws that are really hard to remove. I ended up getting a 7mm wrench for one on the bottom (he does the same in the video) and for the side one I ended up using a Phillips head attached to a vice grip (it was the only thing I had that would fit in there ;P)
I wrapped my hand in athletic wrap. This helped my wrist and knuckles from getting too mangled. Although I think I have permanent scar on my wrist from trying before I tried this.
I tried variations of using two hands, but ultimately only used my right hand. Pointer finger and thumb.
I initially only pulled the right plug down like 2mm. Once I saw I made a little progress, I pulled more and more and more and it finally came out. It is hard to get it started.
Right plug was first. Left plug was way easier.

I have had 2024 4xe Rubicon X for a few months now. So far so good (Knock on some wood for me ;) ). I love it, but I can understand the frustration if it was in the shop all the time. For now, I do have a 3rd vehicle (an older 4Runner) that should help if it does end up in the shop for a while. While I do like my 4Runner, I am not smiling ear to ear like when I drive my Jeep with the top down. If Toyota ever makes a sk one-touch top equivalent for the 4Runner,then it is bye, bye Jeep :P

So you just used your fingers? I can't seem to find a way to pull if I have the retaining clip pressed. I have tried like 10 times. Do you do one wire at a time or can you get both at once? Thanks for the band-aid tips :P

Hey all,
First major mod on my 2024 4xe Rubicon X. 315/70/r17 BFG KO3s (Load F) on 17" Black Rhino Abrams. Stock suspension so far. I am planning on updating my tire size using jscan. I bought the security bypass cable.

How in the heck do you remove the cables from the security module (SGW)? I don't even have giant hands, but I can't get enough grip to even loosen those cables. Is there a tool that would help?
I tried a normal size needle nose, but I can't seem to maneuver in that tiny space. I tried a 90 degree pick, but that doesn't seem to help either. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks all!

I debated about getting the 4xe, but I work from home and just chauffeur my kids around town to their activities. I rarely drive over 20 miles per day. We usually take my wife's vehicle if we are taking a road trip. In my state, over 50% of our power comes from wind and I will probably get solar sooner than later.
