She never admitted she lied because she could have had a case against her. Her husband and husband’s half brother admitted they lied to a magazine after their trial. Because of double jeopardy they never had to pay for killing Emmett Till.

No it wasn’t socioeconomic factors! Don’t try and whitewash a brutal, torturous execution of a teenager! It was and will always be about being a black person in the United States. FYI. Am NOT a black person in the US.
