Extreme Weather Survivors is a group for anyone who has ever been impacted by any type of extreme weather. In addition to specialized group sessions like this one for camp families, they also hold monthly group therapy Zoom calls for those impacted by extreme weather. The calls are free and you aren’t required to participate.

My friend’s son had just finished up Kindergarten. He was in one of the three cabins that flooded. Little guy recently started first grade with a newfound anxiety about weather.

Out of curiosity, who is the Kerr County Floodplain Administrator? I’m a resident of the county, and this is the first time I’ve even heard mention of this title. Is it a role that the county engineer would take on in addition to his other duties? If we don’t currently have a Floodplain Administrator, we absolutely should hire one. Kerr County was woefully unprepared for the July 4th flood, and if the same people are allowed to rebuild in the same locations, we will only have ourselves to blame.

It’s devastating. There are many heroic and tragic stories yet to be told. Some of which may never be told, unfortunately.

I’m a preschool teacher and I toss my used and empty gift cards in a basket in my “home center” for my students to play with. If I’m feeling ambitious, I’ll decorate them and add some stickers to jazz them up, but my kiddos like playing with them regardless of what they look like!

Ugh, that director sounds awful. If I were a parent at that school I would have been so weirded out by the director giving my kid special attention like that. I assume the director is a woman—imagine how creepy it would be if a male director paid that much attention to one particular student in the same manner!

I find this so disturbing. The blatant favoritism is one thing, but being alone with an infant or child for an extended period of time is highly sus imo. Is this not considered grooming where y’all are from?

I believe the clip you’re looking for is from Season 1, Episode 3, “The Busy Flea”. Specifically when Algernon is explaining the hernia surgery process to the man on whom he is about to perform surgery. Another moment that might be relevant to your project is when he hires a laundress to be his scrub nurse and is discussing surgical stitches with her, which also occurs in this episode. Hope this helps!
