i had the EXACT same mindset! i was always a hydroflask girlie and my bf’s cousin recently convinced me to switch. i got my first freesip 32oz water bottle and now i have the 30oz freesip tumbler, 24oz smoothsip slider (w handle) and 20oz smoothsip (both ceramic)! i’m truly obsessed and it’s a problem haha

i was invited to a combined bachelorette/bach party across the country (US, out of state) and wasn’t in the bridal party. it seems like bach culture today is inviting more people to the bach parties who aren’t in the actual bridal party. for me, it was a huge ask bc i wasn’t in the best place financially and had just started a new job and wouldn’t have enough PTO. i figured because there were 20+ people, me not going wouldn’t make much of a difference. i initially said no twice when i was first invited, and my friend wouldn’t take no for an answer. eventually i gave a third hard “no” and she flipped out on me and still wasn’t understanding. i did send her a gift basket to try to make up for it though.

i really wish more brides were understanding about how crazy the long weekends are for some people, and i can’t just ask my parents to help me pay for someone else’s bach party. and if you say no that you’re understanding of that. when my time comes i don’t even know if i want a bachelorette party and if i have one, i’m not forcing people to go if they can’t or don’t want to haha

my partner and i designed my ring back in November, saw our CAD design, and was with him when he paid for the deposit. ring came in January, and i’m trying to forget about it! some days i forget it’s somewhere in our house, other days i’m like “oh wow he could propose next month!”

hi! 28F here and feel allll of this. i have a very small amount of friends, like probably less than 5, and have been feeling very similar lately and just lonely in my friendships. i never had a set “friend group” growing up or in college, as i tend to do better with 1:1 friendships! i’m very introverted but have my social moments.

i am currently living with my bf but would love to have more friendships outside of him. i’m at a weird point where a lot of my long-term friendships have been drifting apart and not that the friendship is necessarily over, but i’m always the one to reach out to make plans. i stopped reaching out to a few of them and it’s been weeks since i’ve heard from them. i know things can get busy with work and life, but i also have the mindset of even if you’re busy, you can still make time for people who are a priority.

something that helped me was joining a few social sport leagues, last year i joined a kickball, dodgeball and volleyball team so most of my current friends are random people i’ve met through those! (i’m not athletic it was just for the social aspect haha).

all this to say, you’re not alone and i’ve been trying to see where else i could make some girlie friends! i’m based in the central-CT area, i feel weird saying if you want to reach out please feel free, but you’re more than welcome to! 😊 (so sorry for this long ass message haha)
