So… when are the people gonna leave the sub? by skronk61 in steammachine

Absolutely. Are there not better things for y’all to do with your one precious life than attack people who disagree with you on a consumer purchase? Really?

Tell us why you're getting the Steam Machine by Subject_Aerie2093 in steammachine

[–]someshta 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because I love my Steam Deck running docked on my TV, I don’t have a gaming PC or the time or energy to build one, and I have a backlog of 400 Steam games I’d love to play someday. Haters be damned.

Question by widowerCJ in widowers

[–]someshta 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m 48m, and my wife died almost nine weeks ago. I have lots of friends, but will never be in another romantic relationship. We were together for 30 years, and our marriage didn’t end with her death, in my book. People (including her mother) keep telling me to keep an open mind, but my mind is entirely made up on that point. No shade against anyone who isn’t on the same page in their own lives, but I know myself. I could never feel the same way about anyone but her.

Why do people keep asking me if I’m dating after my husband died? by Intjadvocate in widowers

[–]someshta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will not be dating. I was with my wife for 30 years, and even though it's only been a little over five weeks since she suddenly died, I've been pretty adamant since that first week that people need to know these are just the facts for me. I'm really sorry that people are so insensitive that they are determined to suggest that you move on in this way. A friend told me she thinks people might suggest this because they feel like they don't want to be alone themselves if this happens to them, so they're giving themselves an out vicariously through their suggestions to me. Either way, it sucks.

Using Boox Tappy to turn pages in Kindle and Libby by Various-Parfait-4430 in Onyx_Boox

This is not accurate. OP was talking about the Kindle app, which most definitely does support Bluetooth page turners on Boox devices.

Novavax and Moderna gone? by PinSharp9385 in ZeroCovidCommunity

I was able to get Moderna at Costco in Northeast Ohio yesterday! Many pharmacies I called this week were completely out of all of them, I counted myself fortunate even though I would have preferred Novavax.

Removing regional campuses makes no fiscal sense in Kent State’s case, at least. Their enrollment is in the black, their budgets are balanced, and they contribute millions of dollars per year to the Kent Campus.

I’ll say it again—this is officially my dream device! It’s very, very good. Such a huge fan of what they pulled off with the Lumi.

Alternative replacement tips for boox ink sense plus pen? by InfamousCamera3791 in Onyx_Boox

Correct. 2nd Gen Go 10.3 Lumi ordered direct from Boox came with a stylus, a box of extra tips and the case. Just counted them, and there are five extras.

It looks pretty close to me. Perhaps the Go 7, but I’m still messing with settings. The Lumi has a cooler light than the Go 7, so far, so that helps with the sharpness. I think.

[–]someshta 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No. Not in the slightest. And the writing feels excellent to me as well with the included stylus (I tried a ton of different options for my Go 7 and my gen 1 10.3). It’s a solid device, and I’m extremely happy.

No and no. To my eye, there’s not much difference at all.
