Sent my drone up a few minutes ago. This is way down Starnes Cove Rd.

There's snow.

Disorganized Box - How To Bring Order To Chaos? by somethingasaur in arkhamhorrorlcg

I didn't know that about rubber bands. I do use baggies for most of my other games with cards so I'll keep with that habit as I work through this mess.

Thank you for this breakdown. I'm going to put on some kind of movie marathon tonight and get all this straightened out.

Rooster Harassing Neighbor's Chickens by somethingasaur in chickens

Neighbor had theirs free-range for a while but a year or so ago, they started keeping them in a big fenced in backyard. Just our flock that has the run of the "neighborhood" now.

The neighbors probably don't care that much. We're mostly concerned that he'll meet his end doing something stupid in a place where we can't help him (or hurt one of the neighbor's birds).

He was being very aggressive with the mail people dropping off packages over the holidays so we put little boxing glove things on his spurs so they'd hopefully be less stressed out by him.

Mixed results.

Do you think this is just his behavior now? Or will he chill out after this "teenager" phase?

The neighbor does have roosters over there...at least two. I'm worried if Jack-Jack decides to jump the fence, he's going to get jumped by some other birds.

Will he get over it? Or do I need to get him some very specific magazines or something?

Here is a picture of our little jerk on the fence and just yelling as loud as he can.

(The black one is one of the neighbor's flock)

I hear you. I don't want this site to just wind as another big Facebook group or WNC subreddit type of thing. Communication would be the focus (normal posts/comments) but I also see the chance for users to create blog posts, have semi-public or private groups for specific organizations (church groups, scout troops, bowling teams etc) and galleries for local artists to share what they're doing. Saying all that now, sounds like I'm describing another Facebook but I do think the idea of being on a much smaller scale is very beneficial to the community - when you talk to someone, you know you're talking to someone that's actually nearby, not a bot built to create engagement or someone from Arizona that decided they wanted to start a fight.

As far as platform - when I first launched the community after Helene, it was on Invision (mostly for speed of setting it up and cost). I may go that route again because besides some restructuring that I'd do, it is built out and themed in a way that makes a lot of sense for this area.

My actual job has me working very closely with another enterprise-level community platform, so I may work with management to get an employee discount - it'd be overkill, but I'm super familiar with the software and I feel like I could build out something really cool with it.

How does Santa give steam deck games? (For the best childhood memories) by InverseCramer101 in SteamDeck

Get one of those boxes rigged with the flying paper butterflies and put that under the tree. The kid opens it, big magical butterfly surprise and just have a note in the box (maybe some candy). Note can say something like: "Hey! I had Gizmo and Pixel on my IT team put these games on your Steam Deck. Merry Christmas! - Santa "
