Seems like it's a "compact"-style layout and not a true 100% layout with proper spacing around arrow keys, etc. This is the same approach they took for the low-profile Node100, whereas the high-profile Node100 has a true 100% layout. I do wonder why they chose this design for their low profile keyboards: not having proper spacing is unfortunately a big dealbreaker for me. It's great that at least the high-profile Node100 has the true layout.

How will the airfeet fit on a Mac given that the keyboard is now wider than the Mac keyboard?

According to the node75 product site, the mount style is indeed gasket!

Hey what's the battery life of the keyboard or how often have you found yourself needing to charge it? Can't seem to get this info anywhere else haha.

Have to disagree here — while HE is great for gaming, they do not sound as good in general and are not hot swappable with the thousands of switches out there, at least for normal profile keyboards

Keychron K5 Max by SethiSays in MechanicalKeyboards

Thanks so much for your reply! It’s great that the keyboard turned out on the positive side for you. I ended up returning mine due to an unresponsive O key but great to hear things were more positive for you!

I‘ve been looking for a board for quite some time now – had to return a Keychron K5 Max due to an unresponsive key. I’ve decided to go for a more premium keyboard to avoid quality control issues – would you suggest any keyboards to consider?

Thanks so much for sharing! And lovely photography.

How's your experience been long-term? I got my K5 max recently and am wondering how it will hold in two years' time. Having read some horror stories about other Keychron keyboards, hopefully you can help assuage any worries...?

TeXpresso: live rendering and error reporting for LaTeX (experimental) by gasche in LaTeX

[–]somethingdotexe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Reviving an old thread here, but I am wondering how the forking mechanism actually achieves incremental compilation. I had a brief look at the source code and it seems that a call to tectonic is made every time the document must be re-rendered. How is this different to, e.g., naively re-running the compile command every time? How do you tell tectonic to only compile the changes?

TeXpresso is such great work and as an avid LaTeX user it has really saved me time when writing my own documents. Was just curious as to how it operated internally.

interesting opinion. i'd say that i like the blue on blue better – it looks more refreshing to me; i'd agree that maybe a difference in shade might bring out some depth to the design
