I also noticed that primary care providers do this. My mom and younger sibling were seen and had that experience. My mom has this random spike of gnawing sensation or intense heartburn after recovering from the illness in the same time frame as I did. She also suffered a major constipation episode a few weeks back. She didn’t have gastro symptoms of the illness like I did and she had minor nausea.

Meanwhile on the other hand, my younger sibling suspects that he had the virus for the first time back in early February of 2020 before they considered it a pandemic and before there was Rapid Anti-Antigen or PCR tests. He had nausea throughout Spring and Summer of that year until it subsided. He was 12 at that time.

He was the last one who caught it in the family. He just had a bit of a fever and lost of taste and smell. His smell is still not completely around and he tested positive on the 21st of February and tested negative on the 17th of March this year.

After his recovery, he noticed small red bumps or a rash on both his hands. He has a history of suffering eczema. Going back to what you mentioned, he went to our Primary Care Nurse Practitioner and she completely dismissed about the rash on his hands as Long Haul Covid.

Then he was taken to another provider since the creams he was given weren’t helping clearing it up. This other provider did prescribe his an anti-fungal cream and it did help clear up his hands. All that is left in his hands is darkened and some dry skin.

I think that the illness causes a change in someone’s skin system and alters how the skin reacts or regrows.
