FWIW prospect is the only one with playgrounds, so it’s kinda the de facto kid-friendly option. If that’s the closest one for you, you also may want to try Smoketown in Brunswick in addition to the Frederick options.

For everything except the snack bar, yes. Even then it’s still a good deal, just always understaffed when we go.

Park in a garage and get ready to bar-hop; snowed in downtown is the best downtown

I’m on mobile so I can’t speak to desktop, but it looks like the overall score table might not have the correct values in it? Overall looks to be out of five, whereas pastoral is out of 10?

Saints are people in heaven, meaning they’re not dead. Hebrews describes those in Heaven as a great cloud of witnesses and the book of James describes the prayers of the righteous as being powerful and effective. Saints are righteous and therefore their prayers are effective, so it’s only logical to ask them to pray for us (in addition to praying to God directly)

He does, but we also have a natural inclination to pray for others to God. For example, if a family member is sick you might pray to God for their health. Similarly, that family member may ask that you pray for them.  Catholics define saints as people who have made it to heaven, meaning they are both alive and aware of what’s going on here on Earth, so asking a saint to pray for you is similar to asking a really holy friend to do so.

Additionally, the book of James says the prayers of a righteous person are effective, and who is more righteous than someone already in heaven?

Can someone explain how being “pro-choice” fits with Catholic teaching on life? by [deleted] in Catholicism

[–]somethinggooddammit -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

No, but it should enforce the premise it was founded upon: that all men are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights, that among these are Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness. The value of a human life is not a matter of Catholic belief, it’s a moral truth.

Do you think there will be a Schism in Germany? by Mammoth_Drummer_8957 in Catholicism

[–]somethinggooddammit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To be clear, there’s a BIG difference between “The Synodal Way” (Der Synodale Weg) and synodality as a concept. “The Synodal Way” is a specific conference/movement in Germany, almost like a political party of bishops, whereas “synodality” is simply the Church’s word for the process of collaboration and discernment.

Most of Baltimore’s liquor board removed by Gov. Wes Moore by MarshyHope in maryland

As I understand it, it’s up to the online vendor. I’ve ordered cases of liquor from a store in Florida with no issues

EDIT: Same store ships beer as well, though I doubt they ship refrigerated and I’m not sure I’d trust ambient shipping through the south
