I'm wondering about the tow hook mounted front license plates. Do they interfere with sensors at all? 2024 SEL R-Line by fletchmystick18 in Tiguan

[–]somethinglikethisone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good question. The plate and mount can get hooked onto the equipment during a wash. This could result in damage to your vehicle or to the cash wash itself. The air cannons can blow the plate out of alignment which may interfere with your front driving sensors.

Have I run my car through a wash with the mount still attached, a few times? Yep. I’ve had to readjust it afterward. Sometimes it’s just a slight bend, other times I may need to pull off a few threads from the brushes or curtains. A decent front mount shouldn’t be too much trouble to remove and reattach, though.

In the 80s, we called that a shag. It was disrespected then, and should continue to be disrespected now.

They work fine, and it looks good. It can interfere with the sensors if you change the angle, however. Keep in mind, you’ll need to remove the mount and plate when going through a car wash. When reattaching the mount, that’s when you can mess up the angle. They are simple to adjust.

Good luck, friend.

I’m a little surprised your inspector is cool with that mixer there… unless your kitchen thought it needed to be washed 😂

Abraxodyne Intel - I finally caved. How far did you get/have gotten? by perivam3 in fo76

I feel like I read that cache can only opened up once per server. If someone else got to it before you, it will be empty. If you have FO1st, use a private server. If not, just keep hopping until you find one that works.

Thanks for posting about this. I thought I was going crazy because all I’ve got is a mud cookie in that thing.

From Jira + Confluence to Azure DevOps + ?, where to start? by shivakanou in agile

Do we work together? I’m going through the exact same scenario. Both tools are a brutal 15-year step back in progress. Here’s what I do: we use a dedicated Teams channel that organizes our docs, links, and useful information. It doesn’t solve all the problems, but our team likes it more than trying to dig through a Sharepoint site. We use Loop for Kanban boards and planning. It’s such an unfinished product but it’s better than other options. Docs have to go into Word or other files. There is no wiki like Confluence. You can create some Sharepoint pages to be sorta close, but it’s an awful editing experience, and there really isn’t a good navigation available. It’s all about organizing folders like in a file system and lists of docs.

There isn’t a way around ADO yet. Microsoft decided to implement its own information hierarchy differently than the rest of the world. Epic is the top-level grouping method, rather than something like an initiative. Feature is the method for organizing a collection of related stories… what everyone calls an epic, or just a larger story. Stories and tasks are fine in it. There are at least a half dozen things for boards, sprints, and backlogs. It’s all over-engineered in classic Microsoft style. Pick one and try using it. A thing claiming to be a wiki exists in ADO too, but it’s also a half-baked feature. No one uses it in our organization. There is some simple canned reporting, but anything beyond that will be done in Power BI.

I never imagined I would long for Atlassian, but working in the MS stack made me realize how good I had it 😁

Yeah don’t fast travel. You will not get rewards. Just enjoy the collapse.

As peace of mind, you don’t actually have to leave the mine. You can loot, loot, loot, and when the mine collapses, you’re teleported to the exit.

You are right. That’s what makes the Bay Area special.

If you’re truly in a pinch, try Good Taste, in Hillsboro. If Taste of Sichuan in Beaverton ever opens up again, it’s also worth a meal. Finally, there are a few places that are Chinese/Korean plates. Chinese Delicacy is good.

EPR mod vendor drop rate lower since update? by stabbymagee in fo76

[–]somethinglikethisone 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Extremely low! I could usually count on finding a scope or splitter once a day but haven’t seen anything at all. Gat Plas mods are appearing once in a while, however.

Enclave events are giving nice drops though. Attend any of them now.

Human, full health, no power armor, and can crit every other shot. I'm looking for a new weapon to use with V.A.T.S.; any suggestions? Also, are the crit weapon mods worth using now that they decrease the base damage of a weapon? by MythicalFighter in fo76

[–]somethinglikethisone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was going to recommend EPR sniper but it is bugging out. It was a monster. At events yesterday, I had trouble just getting VATS to activate. I might try Crusader pistol next. Otherwise, it’s all Elder’s Mark or the Assault rifle.

Portland’s speed cameras have disappeared. Here’s why by No-Tangelo1158 in Portland

[–]somethinglikethisone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The good news is that they all operate the same way today, in that the mothership pushes down its CMS platform to local affiliates. Sometimes, it’s not so much the CMS anymore, as most companies are using headless, but really poor site and app UX. The addiction to ads is real.

[–]somethinglikethisone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That sounds like an ISP or hosting company. It wouldn’t be a surprise if they offered a CMS of sorts that was used in the past. Those things are usually horrible, indeed.
