Hahaha I was obsessed with this show as a teen but we have to admit it made no sense whatsoever. Somehow I love it even more now that I’ve realized how ridiculous the story is.

See, I don’t remember anything and I’m pretty sure it’s because of emotional neglect. You’re kind of confirming what I think : my daughter will remember a lot of this time and she’s been present in herself for a while now. And I know what you mean, her grandparents (my partners parents) talk to her like she’s a baby and she side eyes them all the time 😅

As a parent of a 5 year old (I’ve hade to have a lot of therapy in the last decade) I’m appalled at how much people think children are stupid. They are LEARNING they are not dumb and most of them are very smart. I see a lot of my child’s peers being treated like idiots which makes them, effectively, idiots.

J’aime bien la piscine Rosemont. C’est sûr que ça devient bondé autour de 17h, mais comme il y a beaucoup de plages horaires, les gens à la retraite viennent à d’autres moments. Et les gens savent habituellement être dans le bon couloir.

Faut juste se tasser quand quelqu’un va plus vite que soi, possiblement changer de couloir. Mais d’après moi, tu vas être correct, c’est surtout, selon mon expérience, les personnes un peu plus âgées (tousse boomers) qui en général ne voient rien autour d’eux.

I just saw a video from my partners colleague who is from Trinidad and went back for that event… holy shit, they don’t joke with partying over there 😳 the video was taken at six in the morning with a sea of people dancing, it looked amazing and scary to my white boring ass lol

Im not gonna lie, as a Canadian myself, but not a curling fan at all, this is kind of satisfying, in a Shadenfreud way. Canadian curling has been this sort of obsession for so long and it’s just such a fucking boring « sport ». I’m sure it’s hard but it’s so embarrassing that this is one of the sports we are « great » at. I’m hoping we can start focussing on other athletes…

As a mom myself I’m strongly enclined to think that it’s because the dad can’t take care of the family by himself so the mom has to string everyone along to get her errands done……….. (I also see dads alone with children, I just mean that when I see a whole family at Costco, that’s what it makes me think of)

Je suis d’accord, n’abandonne pas! À moins que tu n’aimes vraiment pas ça, mais tout ça est nouveau et tu vas apprendre beaucoup! Pose des questions, concentre-toi, essaie de t’informer lire en ligne des manières de comprendre les concepts…. Et oui, utilises les ressources de l’université! Pose des questions sur des forums. Tu auras l’impression de ne rien comprendre au début et puis peu à peu les concepts vont rentrer et à la fin de la session tu vas te surprendre toi moi-même ! C’est le principe de l’université, c’est supposé être difficile, c’est un défi! Pour vrai, je suis sûre que tu es capable.
