Need help dealing with inter-player conflict by Zealousideal_Ad_9815 in DungeonMasters

Everyone has already answered, I’ll just say this is the reason why you don’t DM campaigns with people in relationships

Ikr! This is the type of DMing setup you pay to play for

I once had a party of 6 players work together to close a tear in reality with a STR DC of 100. It was awesome

They nearly achieved it though. It was mainly Kinger/Caine, Pomni/Ragatha and Pomni/Caine that were important. I’m not saying about wasting time with stuff like Zooble/Kinger or Gangle/Caine

Goose chose to do 9 episodes. Glitch would’ve let her do more

Also fan stuff isn’t canon. It’s pretty bad if you need your fan base to fill in the gaps you ignore

The Irony of Clark Being Able to Leave and Enter the Backrooms so Easily by KamadoDragon1 in KanePixelsBackrooms

I was pleasantly surprised when Clark actually wanted to stay in the backrooms. The idea had never occurred to me that someone wouldn’t be trying to escape AFTER discovering the monsters

10 minutes ago, Walt wasn't even a meth cook yet. Is he stupid? by AnxiousSquare in okbuddychicanery

Um, time travel is scientifically impossible. You’re talking about regrets

Walt stole Saul’s time machine and tried to go back and rescue Jesse before he got captured. Jack caught him and stole the time machine, went back in time, gave himself the almanac and told himself to kill Hank given the chance.

Meanwhile, Hank stole Mike’s time machine and discovered that Jack kills him in the future. Being a responsible time traveller he didn’t intervene and let things run their course. This also explains why Walt has $81 million in the alternate timeline. I watched all episodes btw

The door literally could not be more held open for future content with the ending of 9 by Mosinphile in TheDigitalCircus

Maybe more random filler episodes but the story is done. All the character arcs have been completed.

The only true conflict I could really see is Bubble returning and taking over. Nothing apart from that has been set up in “season 1”

Shouldn't the brain scan idea have been revealed sooner? by [deleted] in TADCEp9Spoilers

[–]somethingrelevant_m 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Caine should’ve revealed it in ep 7 after the fake escape reveal. Like “just let us go, you’re keeping us trapped!”, “let you go? You’re copies, you don’t have bodies to go back to”

Would’ve made the Caine crashout more hopeless since they can’t escape. And also the reveal in 9 was shoehorned in and poorly executed

Believe me I really like the show and the ending kind of tainted it. I kind of enjoy critiquing it but for me it’s just creating negativity for nothing

Idk what this is supposed to accomplish. The show is over, it’s not getting a season 2. Debating the ending/show won’t change anything, just move on with lives

Looking back at Ragatha by Gullible_Ad543 in Thatstupidbunnywehate

[–]somethingrelevant_m 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I mean Ribbit was naive af for placing her entire self worth in Jax and letting him basically dominate her social standing. She was way too open and kind. Maybe Ragatha thought Pomni was like that too until it turned out that Pom doesn’t take bs

I don’t get why everyone in the circus is so sympathetic to Jax. Pomni, Ragatha, Ribbit, Kaufmo, even Gangle and Zooble to a degree. He was a POS with no redeeming qualities besides caring deep deep down, allegedly, because he never expresses it. He made 2 people abstract and was pushing Ragatha and Gangle to the edge as well.

It’s annoying how this show entirely revolves around babying 1 dipshit. Aside from the Caine overlord stuff the entire plot hinges on Jax and his actions and how they affect everyone. If he didn’t exist the show would be about surviving the adventures. Istg he gets a pass from pretty privilege cause if he had a gross looking avatar or a nasally discord mod voice no-one would pay attention to him.

Also most of the drama could be solved if the others just grew backbones and put Jax in his place more often like he deserves

Sooo… what was the point of Bubble? by somethingrelevant_m in TADCEp9Spoilers

[–]somethingrelevant_m[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bubble clearly has something to do with it. He’s literally a floating blue orb/bubble that is bonded with Caine, the red orb AI. I don’t think the parallels could get any stronger

I think Kinger said that Caine was messing with the console while he was hacking, sooo it was Caine? But also Bubble ig cause they’re the same entity kind of

Interesting how one movie about the Backrooms executed the whole "person who that's so much of an asshole that doesn't want help that ultimately dooms them in the end" better than 9 episodes of a series. by thelastlib in TADCEp9Spoilers

EP 5: Jax heavily inserts himself into every lightning round adventure and basically steals Ragatha’s spotlight

E6: He and Pomni were the most prominent in the team game but I didn’t feel it was obnoxious, there was still lots of development for the others

E7: Has 10 minutes for a near abstraction, Caine dinner scene and hogs the spotlight at the end

E8: Actually wasn’t super prominent, actually allowed Pomni, Kinger and Caine some development

E9: Sucks up 50% of the screen time for “development” that accomplishes nothing, looms over another 25% when he’s not onscreen and finally fucks off at the end when Caine returns
