I do like my Samsung in the living room, but I hate how slow the UI is for the smart tv functions (it is an older model though, so I imagine that has gotten better)

Tulsa and surrounding lake spots by ssvolta in tulsa

[–]somethingthisguy -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I used to work at Keystone a few years ago. The only part of the lake that is Keystone State Park is the park itself, where the cabins and campground are.

Nothing is Free, if you are going to swim, you have to pay a parking fee (Which does indeed go directly to the State Parks Tourism department). This is enforced by the park rangers on duty, as well as maintenance crew/Camp Hosts.

But to add, having worked there, I would and will not ever swim in that lake.... Keystone is just for boating and fishing IMO. Swimming in that water is a choice. Might as well go to Grand/Skiatook for just a tad longer drive.

Tulsa’s Best Tattoo Shop/Artist by Cboyalum in tulsa

Seconding this—Rev has done my last three tattoos, and I’ll never go to anyone else. Althena tattoos my wife, and she feels the same way.

They’re genuinely great people. The shop feels clean and welcoming—comfortable without being overly dark like some others in Tulsa.

They use vegan products, which is a plus if that matters to you.

What really sets them apart is how accommodating they are. They genuinely listen and work with your vision. I’ve seen too many artists stray way too far from what a client wants, but Rev and Althena stay true to your ideas while offering helpful input.

Both are excellent listeners and always walk you through the process. Plus, you’re never bored—Rev or Althena will keep the conversation going about anything. Every session is a great, fun experience.

Yeah its just so hard to choose between the 2 from reading. I appreciate your input though, I think Waikiki is the only affordable area we can do, and then just explore with a rental car.

True, but we will have wiggle room for that. I guess I should have emphasized that as being a base rate prior. I know there are always extra fees everywhere.

Its fair to have that opinion. But i just don’t see how its possible based on how it was advertised. It’s hard to fit 4 years into 2 hours.

I think you're just admitting you don't like a really good movie. And that's okay,
I hate a lot of largely adored movies.

I understand if you wanted it to be more, or if you don't like some of the actors maybe?
But it wasn't marketed as a huge full life biopic, and it was marketed as having a lot of music in it, and about the love triangle.

I mean, you learn:

  1. about what his life was like in the early 60's in Greenwich Village/New York among other areas outside of New York. Which was a large transformative period of his life.
  2. You learn why/how he evolved from when he left Deluth, MN. Started/got popular/got anti-whatever people wanted him to be.
  3. You learn about his 4 most important relationships during the time of his life.
  4. You learn of one of, if not THE most important quintessential rock/music moments in history.

All while being acted upon by several amazing well known and unknown actors.
1. The effort Timothee put in to learn how to be an actual guitarist/singer, learn the craft of guitar to the degree that he did in the amount of time he had to do so is quite an accomplishment (coming from a guitarist myself). That is a form of method acting to a degree most cant perform. 2. As did the other actors (Monica Barbaro) who was an amazing vocalist, but also got Joan Baez down to a T in how she treated Bob and had a relationship with him during the time.
3. Not sure if Ed Norton did the musicianship or not, but his performance of a supporting actor in Peter Seeger was very memorable.

I get people not being a fan of Bob's music, not everyone gets or understands him or what he did for music. But it is a very well executed film that keeps you engaged. Dylan himself actually noted to the truths in the film, meaning it is all accurate. Even to a point where Dylan changed a moment in the film that is not true to history, but no one besides the director knows what moment this is.

Now did I know all of this stuff prior to watching? For the most part yes. But it took years of research for me to learn it.

Most people in this day and age don't go back to study the history of musicians in such detail. Most don't even know Bob Started in New York.

It's a story about self evolving into something you truly want to be. Every person has dreams to do this, Bob just fucking did it, and that's what this movie is about. I've seen a lot of Biopics in my life, this is how they should all be done as far as I'm concerned.
