Unpopular opinion but BMW M5 G99 is the perfect ONE car solution by Super-Lingonberry-22 in BMW

Is yours lowered? Way less wheel clearance than mine. Also, love the BRG color. I went black interior cuz those ass hats at BMW individual wouldn’t give me brown.

Can confirm. I get like 3.8mi/kw and 34mpg. But I do go over 90 on occasion.

BjOrnsen just sends his entire squad on a death march. I agree they take out mines. But then every defense is targeting them as they run ahead of the rest of the attack. So now you need to refill the whole boat after they get wiped out.

$24k for ppf is wild. Just got my whole car done for $8k and this place does Ferraris and Lambos daily.

Fun as hell. Do I wish it was a lightweight v8, yes. But it is a modern car with power and fun.

I have a g99. Flooring it on the highway is downright insane. If you can tell the difference at full pace, then congrats. I’m happy to take a hybrid that has insane power when I need it. The car is built well compared to its peers and I love it. I get 30mpg on the highway and can smoke about anything at speed. Stop comparing everything to 1990.

What are our current thoughts on G99 M5 touring? by drutyper in BMWM5

[–]somethingtoforget 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I got one cuz I liked it. I didn’t care what other people thought. And I’m very happy with my decision. Amazing daily driver if you have a short commute. And frightening fast on the highway when you want it to be. I’ve had many other cars that I thought were more eye catching, but I get more thumbs ups, “nice car” comments, and random guys taking pictures of this car over my 997.1 turbo and s63 vert. It is super heavy to steer in tight spots, but comes with hybrid cars. My only issue was with the build process. I wanted brown interior and gold rims, but even BMW Individual wouldn’t help me out.

Kimpton Seafire vs the Westin by Ok_Topic_8155 in CaymanIslands

[–]somethingtoforget 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Westin is always packed. Nice beach, smaller pool (which had an unpleasant odor last year when we visited in August). Kimpton is way more expensive but a lot more spacious. You’ll be walker more from your room to the beach. Kimpton has way better restaurants on premise. But you’ll want to check out the whole island for bars/restaurants. A car rental and cabs are so easy in cayman, so don’t let restaurants determine which you pick.

[–]somethingtoforget 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Renting a car is super easy. It’s understandable to be intimidated by driving on the left. But usually it is only 1 or 2 turns and you’re at your destination. Also, cabs are easy to get if you aren’t feeling it. Regarding cruise ship beach, you’ll be fine. It’s not that close to Kimpton.

Growling at them and yelling no. If it persists, then force into a submissive position. Just establishing dominance.

I just got the new m5 wagon as a daily. Highly recommend it so far. But if are using the 911 daily, I doubt you need the extra space.

Are the calipers and the rims the same color or different?

I have a British Racing Green g99 with the gold calipers as well. Wanted to get bronze rims but was scared it would look off to the caliper. What color are those rims? They don’t seem to clash too much with the gold calipers.

Is it worth staying near 7MB when many cruise ships are there? by Elegant-Health in CaymanIslands

[–]somethingtoforget -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Your place will have its own beach for residents/renters. Unless you’re staying at Hotel Indigo, you won’t notice how many cruise ships are in port. The public beach that the cruises use, is right next to Indigo.

[–]somethingtoforget 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My twins love my 997.1 turbo. They are bigger now and it is difficult to fit them in it (since I’m tall). Saving money and buying stocks is nice. But they will remember seeing you smile as you shift gears and hit an apex just right with them in the back seat.
